|
|
Quote: | Mike Bresnahan @Mike_Bresnahan ·
Lin might become the Lakers' starting PG instead of Nash, Byron Scott said. He's still weighing what to do with the situation.
Mike Bresnahan @Mike_Bresnahan ·
Scott thinks Nash would be okay with a move to the bench behind Lin: "I have no doubt in my mind....He's such a professional."
|
Sounds like the right move to me. It would mean Nash wouldn't have to guard like likes of Curry, Westbrook, etc on a nightly basis and could go against another teams backup point guard. Less pressure on him. Not just that but given our practices Nash could still push pace with the 2nd unit in short bursts with little difficulty. Lin is the better defender and would likely fit better with the starting unit in the grand scheme of things.
Thoughts? |

With Nash's age/health, this was inevitable. Bryon's rigorous training camp & preseason "vet" lineups have only accelerated the timetable. |

Good move Coach. Now don't flinch from it and give Lin the Scott's seal of approval. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Won't last if Byron doesn't embrace perimeter shooting to open up the floor so Lin can penetrate. Otherwise, he'll just be dribble-dribble-shoot. |

I thought Lin was going to play Thursday; their aiming for Sunday for now...although, he did some light shooting today. Clarkson could be back by Thursday. |

It only took 3 preseason games for this to happen. We all knew it was probably going to happen. At least we know Byron is very aware of the limits of the guys on the roster. _________________ You are either in or on your way to the NBA Finals. |

Nash to the bench? At this rate the locker room would be more useful. He can help Vitti prep the ice bath for Kobe.
Clarkson not a PG. Price doesn't run an offense very well. Anyone sign Bo Mcalebb yet? Kyle Lowry 2.0 |

To me this is a no-brainer, and Ed Davis should be the starting 5. Hill is too lazy and scared of contact. _________________ "We should have kept [Jeremy Lin]. Ya. Replace him with Randle. Start Davis over Hill. Then we are talking... _________________ "We should have kept [Jeremy Lin]. Did not know he was this good," Morey wrote on his official Twitter account on Thursday. "Anyone who says they knew misleading U." - Morey (2012) |
