FO is scared of pissing off fans by sucking so they tried to patch together a semi-competitive team. Boozer?!?! But their fear will only perpetuate more sucking and more fan anger if we lose our pick this year.
If we lose our pick, we are screwed for the foreseeable future. |
we'll get a top 10 pick next year...
But it is crazy to know that the FO won't tank mostly because of the fans. smh |
that pick won't matter cause they will have cap space for 2 max or even 3 if they don't spend this summer.
they need the pick for next yr |

and if kobe or nick young didn't play we would be 0 wins

This team isn't competitive....
Its a joke on the fans who paid good money to see it.
Frankly, I would rather just blow up the team and do what Philly is doing....
Really, 4 more months of losing would be easier to take if we knew that management had a 1st round draft pick to improve the team.
I don't see anybody enjoying the type of basketball being played this year. |

I just really hope the FO can decide what path they want to go down to rebuilbing a championship. Can't have one foot in one foot out. I think the fan base would be more supportive if they could actually see that direction. This murky water vision doesn't help us fans. Obviously that's why I'm a fan and not a gm. But it just feels like the FO is lost. just a pick a direction and stick witht the plan. Not every plan works out (waiting on the top FA this past summer) but just go all in one direction. |

^^ (Jim99187) sorry new to this so don't know how to quote yet. Ya its a shame that they are more worried about ratings then getting the franchise back on track. Hoping that changes by summertime. Maybe they can try and build a team rather than hand out one year deals. I'm all for punting your money to the next offseason if you truly believe that is the best course of action. But if last offseason happens offseason after offseason because they can't land the top FA, obviously something is wrong |

^^^ (fiendishoc) super unfortunate if that is the case. Would really like to see something positive come out of these past 3 years of struggling as a franchise. Just hope the FO can pull something out. It's pretty unbelievable how low my expectations of this team have fallen over the last few years. |

The 5 worst teams in the eastern conference could out tank the Lakers.....thats how much of an expert they are at the art. |

Will there be a point of time in this season where the Lakers FO will just succumb to a full tank mode? |

^^^ (lakersken80) just shows you how bad some teams really are. While even being in the West the lakers have been able to pull out 8 wins. For a team many of us fans believe to be the worst laker team assembled in quite some time, I'm surprised with the amount of W's they've been able to pull off thus far. |

with Scott, the Lakers are, by default, in tank mode. _________________ "Now, if life is coffee, then the jobs, money & position in society are the cups. I have felt this way ever since Howard left.
Wanted to do a back to back tank to rebuild the team's core with young talent.
I think the Buss kids don't have the courage to tank because they completely underestimate the fan base, including season ticket holders.
Most people would be fine with a blatant tank for two years, as it would show a clear vision and an understanding of how to rebuild under the new CBA.
Unfortunately, we haven't seen that vision yet from the FO. Hopefully they trade Lin and Hill by the deadline for picks and show they're going to play the long game. |

okay, I'm pro tank but this is so ridiculous. Philly is the laughing stock of the NBA, are embarrassing to watch, and won't be good anytime soon.
Would you really watch that travesty or a team like this that fights but still can't win? I mean, where the hell is even the most remote pride. |
