I will take the tradeoff if james is able to give some of what he did to Randle. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel

He's definitely someone who Randle should pattern his game after.
I don't mean to speak out of turn considering that's one of the games greats who's forgotten more about basketball than I know, it's an edited highlight video, etc. He's right that it's a sprint rather than a jog, and later on his explanation of athletic position is on point. IMO, the most important part of that whole process, after running hard, is the placement of the foot between the defenders legs prior to the spin. He does it, but doesn't explain the importance of it. Randle's such an ox that he'd be well served to learn it.
I'm nitpicking. It's great to have Worthy there. That just upset my OCD.

Put it simply which I like ... just "10 times a day" and encouraging them to "slow it down" is super, super important.
So much of learning is being able to summon the patience that it takes to establish a foundation that creates good habits that become like knee-jerk reactions.
If Randle can develop counters off of that, to go with an improved J, he's in business ... but first, of course, is really establishing through repetition, Lesson 1. _________________ We back.

Love it.
James was DEADLY in the post.
Love watching him break down the little details. The drop-step angles; how your primary move sets up all your counters; slowing everything down. Awesome stuff.
And he looks good out there, too!
Don't do it to him, James! _________________ Everything. Changes.

Worthy had one of the quickest first steps during his playing days. He was super quick off the pivot too. There was never a wasted motion to his game. The guy would often feel the defensive positioning even before he caught the ball, and then bam- catch, spin, and he was gone. Worthy teaching his bag of tricks in the post has been a long time coming. _________________ The butter's hard and the eggs are chillin' in the dark.

Well it is edited. We don't know how indepth it is is covered.
He's wasting his time if Sacre is one of them. Should just be davis and randle
Lol calm down. He's teaching all of them. It would be pretty stupid to ruin team chemistry by only teaching those two. It would be sending the message that, "I'm going to only teach Randle and Davis because the rest of you are (bleep) and not worth my time."

Is this the first time James Worthy worked with the big guys in the current training camp?
I saw a video of him working with Lamar once but it seemed more like a PR piece for Lakers Live.
Byron has access to some of the most fundamentally sound players who ever played. It's just a question of whether these young guys are willing to work on it. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant

Randle is already pretty quick at his size but if he can perfect the Worthy Spin in the post, it's all over for opposing opponents. This and an improved "J" = op.
Randle needs to hire Big Game as a personal mentor (basketball wise) even if only part time.
Now bring back Kareem to work with the bigs. Coop to teach defense, A.C. Green to teach (sex) abstinence, and Vlade on how to pass the ball in the post.
