I would imagine incentives tied to wins... likely explains why Scott was so focused on playing veterans. |
Yet the optimal strategy for winning was playing the youth or designing some kind of offensive structure that didn't involve Kobe or Lou isolations on the perimeter. By trying to win, he lost and lost quite badly. Hell, benching Hibbert midway through the season would have netted us at least 4-5 more wins and possibly saved his job. |

We were 6th and fell to 7th.
Don't remember if Byron was there. |
that was Worthy's fault |

How pathetically predictable. |
How pathetically true! If they get a top free agent, it shows they just used the guy to play to Kobe's tune for a couple of years. That's disgraceful never giving the guy a chance to win with any reasonable nba talent. |
Brad Stevens or any average NBA coach would likely have met the contractual win quota/incentives.
He's called the Parking Brake for a reason. This team could have won 25-28 games IMO with an average NBA coach. |

Yeah, I think GT would post the numbers, showing that the youth had a more positive impact. Scott's stubbornness did him in. _________________ LeBron, AD, & _________. Stay tuned.

To Byron everything was "Hey, do this" followed by him walking backwards and then folding his arms. And just watching. _________________ Because we're better than you! |

I just checked. They're showing girls high school basketball. The coaching seems to be superior to Byron Scott coached teams but that could just be my imagination... though... I haven't seen one pass to somebody standing at the 3 point line with their back to the basket while the person who threw the ball to them runs and touches the line under the basket before coming back up to get the ball again so... |

Good luck to Byron wherever he goes and whatever he chooses to do.
But damn he had to be one of the worst coaches ever in professional sports. |

Alright folks...let's lock this thread.
I'm just happy that instead of calling him the Parking Brake or Blockbuster, he's good ole' Byron Scott again.

A fitting end to this thread:
