Well that too. The dunk wasn't impressive. The fact it was a dunk at all was.

Also, since when is Kobe 6'8"? Just curious. Did he grow?

Always have to say something like this. Couldn't resist the opportunity?

Huh? Kobe AFAIK has been 6'6" - 6'7". I've never seen him listed as 6'8". I wasn't trying to hurt your feelings by saying he is short, I have honestly never seen him listed as tall as 6'8".

The artists formerly known as Ron Artest recently said that someone began calling him 6' 7" long ago so he just allowed them to do it. He said he's actually 6' 5" & 3/4. Kobe's shorter than he is.

Player's heights are almost always exaggerated. Example: now Michael Cooper is referred to as being 6' 5" when he was always referred to as 6' 7" during playing days. Scott was called 6' 5 in college, 6' 4" during his playing days, and now the same report about Coopers height (on the Lakers channel) said Scott is 6' 3". Those are just a few of MANY exaggerations I can remember (Barkley 6' 6" but is really 6' 4").

Olajuwon listed at 7'10 when he's really 6'10. Turiaf at 6'10 when he's 6'9.25 with shoes.

Not really impressed by Kobe's dunk. Most players could do that.

I don't think he's quite that tall. Plus he's coming off two serious injuries at an older age.

He's listed at 6'6 which means he's probably 6'5

More like 6'4" or 6'3.5"

Wait, was Mugsy Bouges 4'11 then?

I have no idea...I've never met Mugsy.
On the other hand, I did meet Kobe back in 98 or 1999. I stand 6'5.75" in my bare feet as measured on multiple different official doctors scales since I was 16 years old - and my eyes were at least 2" higher then Kobe's and I was wearing regular old training type athletic shoes.

Of course, I read and responded to that post before I read down to the other poster where Artest supposedly said he's 6'5.75" also and is taller then Kobe
Based on my experience, I'd say Artest was accurate - if he really said that.

Standing next to Jamal Crawford who is 6'4.5 barefoot.

Same height.

IF Crawford is actually 6'4.5", and not an NBA exaggerated height? I seriously doubt it
And that photo shows Crawford, who's leaning over somewhat, and Kobe who's standing upright.

And in the end, who really cares? It's not like Kobe's any less of a player because they exaggerate his height by 2" or so.

Yeah, I don't see that.

He was measured at 6'4.5 barefoot at the combine. http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Jamal-Crawford-2085/

What's good about that dunk is that it shows he's feeling good and that's nice to see. He also has a good bounce in his steps. Can't wait for tonight's game.

For the record Scott is gonna run us through a hard scrimmage this morning. So be ready for tired legs tonight.

Do you know that or you're guessing ?

I'd hate if Scott makes them look terrible again. At some point you gotta protect their confidence.

Nah, it was more impressive because he blew past a younger/solid defender and had actual resistance from a defender as opposed to that practice dunk.

Those dunks kind of make me a little sad.

But those are the kinds of plays that Kobe is going to have to do in order to get to that 20-22 PPG mark I have him pegged for. Assuming he can stay healthy, I think he can get there but it's going to take a little time to get his legs (and mind) back in to game shape.

Some of yall are comedians for acting like this is the end of the line for Kobe. Lol!

He did a one handed dunk during a drill, no biggie. Sure it wasn't his vintage type of dunk where his entire elbow is above the rim but I'm sure confident by watching how agressive he attacked the rim that he'll get there again soon.

What we can also take from this vid is that he's feeling good and he's working his way back to old form.

Yall need to Stop over analyzing this lol

I agree that Broussard is a ass clown to the fullest degree. Pretty much anything that comes out of his mouth Laker related is hot garbage. Like Jimmy and Mitch slept with his wife.

Just At this moment our Lakers can take any motivation they can get. Did you watch our past two games?
