The starters should be: Lin, Kobe, Johnson, Randle, and Davis.
Bench should be: Hill, Clarkson, Young, Henry, and Kelly. Obviously, some of those guys are hurt, but that should be the rotation when healthy.
Didn't add Nash because I'm not gonna count on him. Boozer shouldn't play much if at all. He's not good. Hill would be better served coming off the bench with his energy.
I really like a starting lineup of Lin, Kobe, Johnson, Randle, and Davis. It's definitely a lot better than what Scott is trotting out there so far in the preseason.
Are we going to have any of Clarkson, Kelly, or Henry by opening night next week? |

I agree except for Randle over Boozer. The rookie's game is still too raw _________________ "My thirst for domination is fed only by the game. I refuse to get distracted by outside forces." - Kobe Bryant |

I don't understand the unnecessary hate for Boozer. Wait...I think I do. We all want to see Julius play, and Boozer is the only guy in his way. But that doesn't mean we should hate Boozer because of it. He actually gives us quality minutes, and is still very smooth around the basket. At this point he is tied with Lin as our second best player |

That certainly is the most balanced lineup, but I don't think Scott will bench Hill because of his salary and it'll lower his trade value. |

Randle is still not ready for starter minutes yet sadly. He'll get there eventually though. |

How do you destroy a rookie's confidence? Throwing him in when he's not ready...Randle should be on the 2nd unit and if he shows promise over the length of the season then we should consider it. |

I can easily see Scott sticking with Price and Boozer in the starting lineup. Boozer probably should be there, but Price in no way shape or form should be starting over Lin. |

Boozer is our most reliable offensive big-man.... he's gonna play the biggest minute out of anyone in the big-man rotation.... he can still get 25 in a good day. |

not sure price should start over lin. lin's really taking care of the ball in the preseason without compromising his aggressiveness. he was a +12 today. total game changer until kobe took over. |

No to Johnson. It's obvious that we need a legitimate small forward- none of which is on our current roster. _________________ The butter's hard and the eggs are chillin' in the dark.

or maybe we should've kept Ariza all along. _________________ The butter's hard and the eggs are chillin' in the dark.

He's a rookie, he will make mistakes but he'll make more great plays. I still hate the Boozer signing. He's taking away minutes from Randle, Kelly, and Davis and he won't be on the team next year. |

jeremy reiterated again in the post game that he still has not gotten practice run with the first unit. cmon bscott, that is RIDICULOUS. it is clear (and kobe made it clear) that the offense when it's not 24, needs to be run by 17. 19 assists 2 TOs, and he breaks down defenses.
starters should be: Lin, Kobe, Wes, Davis, Hill. if you insist that Davis and Hill need to be 5s then Lin, Kobe, Wes, Booze, Davis.
Randle is generally LOST. he really is. lotta potential, but quite honestly he doesn't get it, and he could use some D-League time IMO.
and i'm only starting Wes because....what choice do we have? no swaggy p and no xavier. |

Randle isn't ready yet. He drives into the paint without a clear plan for what he wants to do. The game is still too fast for him. It's alright - he'll adjust. It's just going to take time.
I agree regarding Lin and Davis - I think both need to be starters on opening night. As for Wes - I think he is starter by default right now, but I'd prefer Young and maybe even Henry over him once they are back from their injuries. _________________ Jeffs

requires randle to do something besides rebound and dribble coast to coast to attempt shot. oh and also completely ignore and refuse to pass it to the PG. i.e.--the kid's got talent but he's gotta stop playing jungle ball. |

Yea it's not so much his skills and talent that are lacking, it's more I don't like his "game." Little too much fighting own teammates for rebound stats (and consequently losing the ball) and ball hogging and putting our offense in a bad position. I know he trying to prove he's the next Magic Johnson, but magic johnson's best attribute was that he was a great leader and the ultimate "team player". Randle gotta stop worrying about "getting his" and start worrying about getting W's. |

Jlin, kobe, johnson, boozer, davis need to be starters.
Eventually when players recover, 2nd unit can be nash, henry, young, randle, jhill. Notice these are injury prone players (limited minutes vs 2nd units) and 6th man young, with developing rookie randle. This would be an amazing high energy 2nd unit. Until they recover, price and clarkson (or if injured still, then ellington) instead of nash and henry. |

I'd go with this line-up when all are healthy:
Lin
Kobe
Swaggy
Boozer
Davis
Price/Nash
X
Wes
Randle

Until Randle develops a consistent offensive game, Boozer will always start. |

Your second unit isn't gonna score. I'd leave Young in there. |
