Quincy Miller was just released by the Nuggets. For those who don't know him, here are some details:
-He's a 3rd year player, though he hasn't had much of a shot so far. He's 21 years old.
-He is 6'10 small forward with a 7'1 wingspan (according to DX, though I've read other reports of him having a 7'4 wingspan)
-He has a pretty good handle, can shoot the 3, and obviously has great defensive potential due to his length
-Miller's projected draft position ranged from 8 to 18 during his 1 and only season at Baylor -- he fell to the 2nd round and I believe a few teams tried to trade for a pick to get him
With X out indefinitely and Young out until at least December, would you guys take a shot on Miller? I can't imagine he's any worse than Ellington, plus he's young and has some potential. |

Just came here to post about him.
He can play. He'd definitely make our rotation.
I'd love for us to bring him in. _________________ Everything. Changes.

Ooh...we need SFs.
I guess he's over his injuries? (or not)? _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

I would take a flyer on the guy. Seems like a taller, more offensively skilled, more confident version of Wesley Johnson. I remember before the injury, people comparing the kid to Kevin Durant. I'm sure he will have a few teams going after him, we can offer him the opportunity to learn from Kobe and have a good shot at some playing time playing for a mediocre team in a contract year. |

Miller has a ton of potential, would be a starter on this team. |

Why was he released from Denver? I get they have a glut with Danilo and Chandler, but there must be something else. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

We could use another SF since all we have right now is Johnson. I'd prefer Miller over Ellington for the final roster spot. |

The problem with Miller is he is very young and raw, and really hasn't proven much. Thus Scott probably wouldn't play him much. If it were up to me I'd give him a shot as Wes really needs some competition right now. |

Would love this signing, what do we have to lose?
Miller was a top 5 player coming out of high school and seems to be recovered from his ACL last year.

If a team is going nowhere as the Lakers seem to be what is lost giving a player like Quincy Miller a look. Supposedly the Rockets and Pacers have contacted him too. Ed Davis was a very good cheap pick up perhaps Miller would be also.
The Pacers interest may have lessened because of their point guard problem both George Hill and CJ Walker have yet play this season and won't for a minimum of 3 weeks or so. Now Rodney Stuckey who was limited to 12-16 minutes a night with a foot problem has re-injured the foot and could well be out for 2-3 weeks. The Pacers are now searching for a back up pg with only 3rd stringer Donald Sloan playing 32-40 minutes a night.
The Pacers may apply for an injury hardship with Paul George, David West, George Hill, CJ Watson all yet to play this season and now Stuckey injured.
Belief here is Will Bynum or Gal Mekel will be their target to use the hardship on if applied for and given by the league. |
