Disabled player exception coming? Who could we potentially use it on? _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' Whatever, pow, three. I love the Zen, though." |

Wonder if they just eat the salary OR, trade him to another team looking for cap relief. Damn! The Nash experiment was a total failure. I was so happy when we traded for him, poor guy! A true professional

Interesting if true. He really wants that 10 million while being in essence retired. All we get is an injured player exception. Again, interesting. _________________ Whenever the Lakers benefit all of a sudden rules need to be changed and trades need to be blocked.

@Mike_Bresnahan: I've confirmed the report by @KevinDing that Steve Nash will not play this season because of recurring nerve damage in his back.

I'm going to pull an Abbott and say Steve Nash is destroying the Lakers from within. _________________ Eighth grade key phrases are crucial tools for this type of subterfuge: "team player", "make teammates better", "ballhog", "selfish", "court vision": all dripping with sanctimony and defamation. |

Yeah we're going to that so there's that. Not sure how the new CBA works and if it can be used via trade though. _________________ Whenever the Lakers benefit all of a sudden rules need to be changed and trades need to be blocked.

...I'd want that 10 million too. Don't blame him for not retiring at all. Easily Mitch's worst trade of his executive career. Won't call it his worst signing because he didn't sign him and that would go to the Luke Walton signing. _________________ Whenever the Lakers benefit all of a sudden rules need to be changed and trades need to be blocked.

Bummer if true, Nash has never been healthy here, but he was always a pro, and it was great to see those flashes of play when they happened, classy player , superb playmaker |

depressing end for a HOF career. I was really hopeful for him and wanted to see him contribute one last time. Can we bring him on as an assistant coach to continue mentoring Jeremy? |

it is what it is, can't blame a player for taking nearly $10M. you, me, him, anyone would have done what he did and taken the money...way too much to pass up. |

No, Abbott would say Kobe Bryant is destroying Steve Nash's nerve tissue from within |

And here I was thinking Vlade Divac's signing was the worse signing in Lakers history and Steve Nash comes to prove me wrong. You'd assume Mitch would learn from experience not to sign players on their last legs to come retire on the Lakers. _________________ My Dream Starting 5 next Season
