Not gonna lie, it looked pretty bad.

Due to injuries, looks like LAL will have only 10 bodies for the opener: Lin/Kobe/Johnson/Boozer/Hill; Price/Clarkson/Randle/Davis/Sacre.

With Price dinged up, Byron says that @JLin7 will start at the point Tuesday night against Houston.

Latest Update

Quote:
@Mike_Bresnahan: With Nash out and Ronnie Price doubtful (bruised knee) for tomorrow's opener, the Lakers' backup point guard is rookie Jordan Clarkson.

Serena Winters @SerenaWinters
Today's Lakers Injury Updates: Jordan Hill went full practice. Byron said Ronnie Price is "pretty close" & they'll see how he feels tom.

Probably just a knock, he'll be fine! Love how he tried to return the favour when he was fouling to get out of the game.

hope he gets better--we actually COULD USE him at this point. i must say it bugs me a little that we may not actually find out what BScott was REALLY going to do with the starting PG position on opening night (i wanted to know if he was actually insane or not).

It's pretty clear that God wants Jeremy Lin to be the starting point guard. Pay attention Byron!

Looks like price got hit on the same spot twice. First one he walked it off. 2nd time he couldn't stand the pain.

I've had that collision playing pickup. Inside of the knee bruise ain't no fun.

My guess is Price won't heal in time for the opener.

Speaking of which. Why do we always let players go extra possessions after its clear that they should come out?

Valid criticism of Vitti and the training staff.

so where do our injuries currently stand?

Nash (out for season)
Swaggy (out for two months with ligament tear)
Price (?)
Xavier Henry (out indefinitely with knee issues. Off to Germany for Reginokine)

Who am I missing? Out of those listed, I think missing Nick hurts the most. Can't wait for him to get back to bolster the bench and take some of the offensive load off of Kobe and Lin.

That looked really painful. His leg might have bent a little sideways at the knee, which is worrisome. Fingers crossed he will be okay. Lin and Brown better take care of themselves, there is a pretty clear curse on Laker point guards.

They should call the reginokine procedure the Kobe Bryant procedure just like they did with Tommy John.

Was wonder this myself.... guessing this is probably the roster for now:

Code:
Lin   Clarkson   (Price- Out 3-5 Games?)      (DPE 4.8M-Steve Nash)
Kobe    Ellington    (Henry- Out for ?)
Wesley    Smith      (Young- Out 17-18 Games?)
Boozer    Randle       (Kelly- Out for ?)
Davis   Hill       Sacre

Use the DPE for a SG/SF and ditch either Ellington or Smith?

wow,, hella thin now... So, I guess either Kelly/Randle/Kobe at backup SF until Swaggy gets back and a lot of Clarkson until Price gets back....

Ronnie Price may not play in Tuesday's opener meaning rookie Jordan Clarkson may get an expanded role and more minutes #LakeShow

Not sure if credible but he does post news about the Lakers news.

If Ronnie can't go let's all congratulate Clarkson for his first career start!
