Really Byron, like we don't alreay know this. Why are you lighting up a fire night before we play him, wait until after the game. The first time I disagreed with Scott, he should be talking more about his own team & players, especially the defense!!!
Now get the win now Byron!!! _________________ My Laker squad.

I don't know what the point was for Scott to make that statement.... we have our own problems to address we don't need to motivation certain players especially since we don't even know how we're gonna play. |

I am baffled myself, I don't know what Byron was trying to accomplish with commenting on something he wasn't a part of, after all Kobe can speak for himself & Byron is not a ventriloquist... _________________ My Laker squad.

Kind of a half-hearted attempt at a mind game which might still be effective considering we're talking about Duh-wight here. |

Do you guys really think Dwight would have taken it easy had Scott not said something?
"Bulletin board material" is something that affects very few players (some positively, some negatively). I don't think Dwight is on that short list, in large part because of the topic of this discussion.
As for why Byron said it - he was probably answering a question that was posed to him. People assume that coaches and players say everything unprovoked, whereas they are actually just answering questions. _________________ Jeffs

Actually the guy that'll be most pumped I think is Lin. Howard already made his "comeback" to LA and played well. He's seemingly well over it. Kobe is always motivated. I don't see any real big thing here. To me, Lin will be the guy with the biggest edge. Rox dissed him badly. Some pay back is due.
On Scott's comments. Yes, probably true. But it isn't drive. It's the status on the team. Lamar Odom was 10 times more laid back and less driven than Dwight. Yet, Kobe and Lamar managed to play 7-8 years together. The biggest dividing factor IMO was Kobe actually knew what Dwight meant to the team and the Lakers. And there was no way he's going to let anyone just come in and take his team and his culture away. It's also the same reason MDA got the boot real fast from Kobe. The main difference is coaches are usually easily replaceable unless it's Phil or Pop. Replacing a perennial all-star C who has DPOTY talent, not as easy. Kobe, Lakers and Dwight all failed miserably as partners in this. All could have and should have done better.

These comments by Scott are a legitimate reason for Dwight to have another kid. |

Just trying to lower his free throw percentage further. If that's even possible. |

First time I've heard legitimate in sentence with "Dwight" and "kid." |

LOL! Based on some of the reactions here, I can see some Laker fans have lost their bravado. You guys sound scared.
I like Byron needling Howard, cause he's a little wuss. |

Look how mentally weak people are. Someone gives and honest opinion about a player and people cry like he committed a crime. If what Scott says makes Dwight play harder or better then Howard has issues. He should be giving it his all regardless. I like honesty, what I cant stand is PC or cliché remarks to simple questions.
Go Lakers! |
