since this offseason that was the tradeoff how do you we came out of this ??
I think ahead for 2 reasons, 1. Price can defend and is a solid vet
2. Marshall basically was the beneficiary of the D'Antoni system and showed us about as much you are gonna get out of his game little upside little defense
A side benefit is Clarkson can get some minutes at the point and we can see if he develops |

Price >>>>> Marshall
Marshall was just low tier mercenary, never felt like he was a laker. Especially after his comments after the game he should have been defending Swaggy P |

Marshall couldn't shoot for jack (bleep), and the only reason he was getting those crazy assist numbers was because we were so depleted at PG that we needed him to play big minutes. |

I think Price is the better player but Marshall's dimes were and are beautiful. I saw him in a Bucks presseason game, and I love his passing |

Beautiful passing but all his negative traits are still there, inconsistent shooting, slow, lack of defense. I'm not gonna waste time comparing ex-laker with another probable one-year rental journeyman again. I have no loyalty to what looks like year to year mercenaries. |

If Marshall had figured out how to hit hit open 3's or defend he would have been a good PG to have on the roster.
Unfortunately it just didn't happen. His shooting was downright atrocious in the summer league and his defense was still non-existent.
His passing ability is on par with the best PG's in the league though, and I hope he finds success in the league. _________________ You are either in or on your way to the NBA Finals. |

Oh, i wasn't trying to be Marshall's advocate or anything like that. I just liked his passing but other than that he agree that his loyalty to his teammates turned me off to him and im okay with him gone. |

Marshall was god awful. Not to mention he was extremely arrogant and condescending. I remember him mocking Swaggy P and not admitting he was wrong for not going to his aid in Phoenix and saying Nick had to know that they were short a few players and can't do things like that. Of course, I'm paraphrasing but ever since that, that turned me off completely from being a fan. That and the fact that he wasn't a good player anyways. I already like Ronnie more. _________________ Go LA! |

they both suck, but the annoying thing about Marshall is I never felt like he played to win. I see the guy pass up shots time and time again hoping to pile up his assist numbers basically making himself a liability on offense, and his defense is nothing to write home about. I hate players like that. _________________ My Dream Starting 5 next Season

Ronnie is a better player right now, but I would rather have kept Kendall because he is still young and has some upside. We are going to suck either way this season, so while the odds were still low that Marshall would develop into a trade chip, there still was a possibility. With Price, we know what his ceiling is, and there is no way he develops into a trade asset at 31 years of age. Was it just a screw up by Mitch that we had to cut him because of the salary cap? |

all offense vs all defense, even if you combined the two into one player you still wouldn't have a solid all around player, though Price has a worse hairstyle, if that helps any... |

Marshall cant shoot either, although he is a better passer but much worse defender. I'll take Price, thank you |

Price is better at defense, Marshall is better at passing, both are inconsistent shooters. |

Price because of his defense. Marshall may have been the worst perimeter defender in the league. |

I had no idea. No wonder he was waived. When you aren't a star player, a bad attitude makes it not worth it for a team to keep you. |
