Wow, this guy is one of my favorite player ever since drafted and he has improved every season. His stats so far for tonight's game:

22 pts, 15 rebs, 8 blks, 2 steals.

If I played fantasy basketball, he would have been my #2 overall pick. Behind only LBJ, but I had him pegged for a monster breakout year.

Him and Asik combined for 50 points and 34 rebounds and 14 blocks.

I was on the record that they were the best defensive towers in the league. This is just crazy.

I think Houston/Portland/Phoenix win a few games less this year (Houston because of FA losses and the other two because I think they maxed out their rosters). I see New Orleans barring injury taking a HUGE step forward.

Don't forget Andersen dropping 22 off the bench.

Man does that front court look deep.

So beastly. Saw AD/brow highlights in the morning getting hyped up. Still shocked by his stat line tonight.

Bonkers! Wish him the best and saying a prayer for d rose and Kobe's knees every night.

Anthony Davis is the guy Mitch should be aiming to get... He's not going to waste his career playing in NOLA. Let's trade him for Kwame Brown

Dude is a beast...IMO he is going to be up there with players like Durant and Lebron. His agility and quickness for a player of his size is unmatched around the league.

Is AD only a 4 to save his body from the wear & tear of being a 5?

Asik was one of the most underrated acquisitions of the off-season. People don't realize how good of a defender that guy is. More importantly for the Pelicans, it allows AD to move to his more natural spots on the floor and play that nasty weak side swatter and roam the floor a little bit more.

My not so bold prediction on AD's #s this year: 24 points, 12-13 rebounds, 3+ blocks, 2+ steals this season. Book it. (bleep) I want this guy here.

They picked up Asik primarily so he could be a 4. It's both wear and tear and way better for the team imo.

click on the block videos, i know the nba loves to pump up its stars, but turning 4 actual blocks into 9 just for press is pretty lame, it's worse than stockton assists.

I can't play the videos here, I only get the audio. What's wrong with his blocks?

I think what Telleris is seeing is that not all the blocks are getting contact with his full palm and being swatted out of the playing area. Some of them have davis just getting a finger tip or two onto the ball and diverting the shot just a foot away from the path it was on towards the basket.

I always thought that all you needed was a piece to divert the shot and for it to be a block.

Too bad they don't have any playmakers. Was watching today's game against the cavs, he barely touched the ball.

He's crazy good. Another great game from him. He's wasted on the Pelicans.

He is still a baby too in terms of age. If he can stay healthy, watch out as his potential is pretty much unlimited.

Yes, and I agree with your previous post, getting Asic was huge for NO. I would love to have him.

Eric Gordon's season thus far: 7.4 points, 1.2 assists, 3.5 rebounds. 27.7% shooting. Yes...27.7%. 2.89 PER.

$58M over 4 years. Money well spent.
