Let the passive aggressive pity party for Pau begin. That expression on his face at the end last night will be forever tattooed in my psyche. |

Either way, all we know is that barring some insane miracle, or a Kobe trade, Pau will have a chance to be integral to a team to win th ring, while Kobe will not. |

Unfortunately, he's already injured. I know its a relatively minor injury, but it seems like he is going to miss some games. |

Nope Pau did not have a good game last night. However he was more aggressive than he ever was the past 3 years here even when he had the green light to go to the post and take it to the basket.
Him settling for jumpers 9 out of 10 times even in the open lane while here, but sealing people off calling for it in the post and always driving to the basket and drawing fouls in Chicago just shows how much he was phoning it in while here his past few years and all the excuses he gave on 'not knowing when to roll or when to take over a game' was just that, excuses and bull.
Hope he enjoys his time in Chicago when they turn on him like they did Boozer after '20/11' Pau after the first 2 months of the season becomes '15/9 gets sat in crucial moments because of his defense and Thibs isn't gonna stand for that' Pau.
Even so, glad to see him enjoying himself again. |

I watched Cavs/Chi last night, and Pau actually looked pretty good
quite a few defensive stops, 6 blocks, 9 rebs...several tough baskets in traffic or under pressure. The only real negative was he missed a few jumpers and drove his % down, scoring 15 on 18 shots.
he definitely was out-quicked when Cavs went small though...no surprise there, though.
Overall, he looked pretty good. _________________ LBJ + AD = More rings

Pau was a great talent. When he's mentally dialed in he's great. But he seems to tune out a lot in the game. He did it here and he'll do it there. He's reveling in the new environment now, but chances are he'll shrink again, like he did here. Plus he's past his prime. The 'poke' the CP3 Trade, further trade talks, they all got to him and affected his game. He would still be a Laker now if he manned up and played hard.
In a way he's like Dwight, mentally soft, except with a better attitude.
I wish I could say I hope he does great in Chicago but I don't give a sh** about the bulls and he's a bull now. Lakers first for me. |

Waiting for Voices to poo poo all over this thread. He hates him some Gasol. And I love reading his rants. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

He scored 13 points in the last 4 minutes of that 2nd quarter. They went to him the last 8 possessions and he scored on 7 of them. That was a fun little run to see. |

Where were the Lakers.... when Pau needed everyone's support? all he did in those last few years with the Lakers is constantly get on the Trade-block and have people whining about his decline... the reality is Pau is good enough to still play at an all-star level..... his mentality with the Lakers was a forgone conclusion... he wasn't gonna put up with the media's BS. |

Like they said on the broadcast, sometimes all a player needs is a change of scenery. It's clearly been a bumpy ride for the us and it obviously had a negative impact on him. Constant trade rumors and general discomfort with the team's offensive schemes didn't help either. |

Obviously he's thriving in Thib's offense system, we wasted Pau's last two years with crap coaches who didn't know how to use him. On top of that we couldn't get any assets for such a great player, ridiculous man |

As a Laker fan, it's sad to see him performing so well on a different team, and disappointed we weren't able to uitlise him as an asset, but I know that him not coming back was for the best for him and the Lakers in the end.
As a Basketball fan I just love seeing him rejuvenated. He's still old, and not quite what he once was, but he's a fantastic addition to the Bulls, and a great fit. |

Thank God he picked Bulls over the Spurs. Big man rotation of TD, Splitter, Diaw and Gasol would've been GG for the league. |

So true, man, I am watching the Bull game right now. Pau's footwork, both hand skills, post moves, and hook shots are still great.
Need a team and a coach that can assess his talent. |

i think they just couldnt stop Pau leaving. Pau knows that the bulls are a contender this year so why not have another chance at a ring? |

Let's be honest. This current rebuild was totally manufactured by an incompetent FO. After making a nice move to bring in Howard we were set for a smooth transition minus the total rebuild. If the right coach had been hired, we would be in year three of a Kobe, Gasol, and Howard big 3 and probably would have won at least one title. We had two of the best big men in the league and also Kobe. Jim sent this team into a long rebuiling process when it didn't have to happen.
I hope Gasol meets Howard in the NBA finals. And I hope Jim Buss enjoys it. |
