Chuck says the Rockets are a borderline playoff team, 6th-8th seed....so if that team can put that much of a hurt on this Lakers team, I don't want to know what is going to happen once we face off against the better teams in the conference.

I feel awful for Julius Randle. To go down like that in your first NBA game? That just seems cruel.

Think some of the Clipper luck has rubbed off on the Lakers....remember Blake Griffin got hurt in his last pre-season game in what was supposed to be his rookie year.

Lakers are that bad, no defense, the offense is terrible, really, I don't see much difference from last year other than the players have changed. I guess this is to be expected when you have that much player turnover+injuries.

I said it before the season started that this will be the worst team in Laker history, 23 wins at best. Randle was the only player I was looking for to seeing this year, now he's out for the year.

That about sums it up.

(sigh)....At least the top 5 protected appears to be safe.

Exactly this team was never going to win a championship but this was just a bad loss, they will bounce back. Kelly should be back soon and he will help with his shooting.

I knew the lakers were going to be awful And was only excited about Randle and was looking forward to watching him develop but now bunch of old players and some young ones with limited to zero upside. Maybe clarkson can entice me to watch. But not that tempting.

Kobe is there but its painful to watch him play his heart out with limited impact due to age and injuries. The team is just awful. This is going to get ugly.

1/82. No matter how ugly, how big the points differential it was, it still counted as 1, just like the so-called legitimate mavs(0-1). But we all understand how it feel when the team started the 1st game like this.

Try not to make earlier judgments or evaluations on players or coaches. It's time when Lin can't even make 1(0/6) in his 1st preseason game, but he did look good 4 games in a row. Same applys to X, Johnson, etc.

BS said it best way, efforts would be the most important indicator this early into season. They will learn as players and as a team, no doubt about that. As a fan, I will support them as long as they gave a 100% every night.

But 30 mins late or being stagnant in play wouldn't help as much. Expect much better performance tomorrow.

Get well soon, Randle.

Should have brought Ariza back home for the around $8 mil, the same money we gave to Jordan Hill. Jordan has looked really bad so far. I'm not sure what happened to him. I used to like his game. We could have signed a big for the minimum and they could have given us what Jordan Hill has so far.

It was hard to watch his limited mobility due to age+injuries....not the Kobe we remember 2 years ago.
