Feel free to add positives here in this thread. I'll start with a few basics.
- Mark Madsen did not dance tonight
- A relative\friend of Jordan Hills did not drive through the lobby of Staples
- Mike Brown still has his LA privileges revoked
- Kobe didn't release a new album
- Kevin Mchale is still ugly
- Blake Griffin is not a Laker going through rookie rehab. JR is...
- Travis Knight is not on the squad
- The bring back Dwight Howard campaign failed
- Cedric Ceballos will not abandon this team for a Lake Havasu trip _________________ "Bobbin' and weavin' and let the good get even"

- At least Julius didn't go down at the peak of his career and as the face of the franchise.
- The Celtics aren't going to be good this year either. _________________ Not a legend |

I can handle the losing, its part of life with every sports franchise, but losing your first top pick in decades in the first game of the year is a tough one |

Man I was at the game, and this injury bothered me all night. On top of that, Mitch passed right in front of me as he headed down from his seat to the tunnel, and he had a look of disbelief on his face. Almost like his own son had suffered the injury. Can't get that sight out've my mind.

So mid season he comes back if it is that?
Interesting.
Hopefully he gets back his good first step, that will be key in the future.

well honestly if he is out lets say 10 weeks that brings him back around the New Year and that would be nice consolation prize at this point |

one thing that bothers me was when Byron said Nash hasnt been around since his announcement, dude cant tell his coach or teammates face to face he cant play and is just gonna sit back and collect his checks ??
They say what a great guy he is yada yada yada but this just doesnt sit right with me, I am probably over reacting after last night gut punch |

for me there is no silver lining here at all
i made peace with the fact that we will probably miss the playoffs again and had no problem with it (it's part of the game.. sometimes you're up and sometimes down) and that's mainly because i was looking foward to watch julius as he grows as a player on the basketball court. and all of this gone in the first night of a nearly 6 months season?
wow. i mean... just wow |

There's always something to root for even if your team is completely dysfunctional and out of contention.
For example, my favorite moments from last season was Lillard's 3 to end Dwight's postseason in the most sudden and painful way imaginable. And Lebron losing by the largest margin in finals history. |

Swaggy P and Xavier have yet to play. When they return, they will be able to stretch the floor more. lacking 3 point shooting badly, as it makes opponents easy to guard us. jus tpack the paint and its GG as you can see last night. _________________ “We do have a lot in common.

Silver lining... It was only the first game and we still have 81 left to surprise all the naysayers. It can't get any worse than last night. The guys will look back at the season opener as the low point, and a game that helped them build character. |

for those Laker fans who live in Southern California the silver lining is even if we have a horrible season we live in Southern California and not Boston or Cleveland or Houston or Buffalo or any other crap town that usually wins nothing |

...or an MCL/ACL, which would have been absolutely devastating and a career changer. My initial thought was that Randle sustained one of the above injuries fully thinking he would never be the same. The silver lining is that is it's only a fracture, and he should be able to come back as good as new. _________________ The butter's hard and the eggs are chillin' in the dark.
