With Nash and Randle out, not to mention the rest of our walking dead, I think we need to use the injured/disable player exception and sign two FAs if possible. I know no one wants them on the team, but two names come to mind, who I believe will give us some adequate size and toughness. We might not win more games, but at this point looking at the season ahead, was that really a thought anyway.

Andray Blatche
Michaerl Beasley

These guys won't back down from being physical and they will help the scoring load.
Blatche can start at the 5 and Beasley can play the 3.
I know they're both in China if I'm not mistaken, but buy them out and get them back to the US.

The exceptions aren't big enough to buy them out and then offer them a contract bigger than what they are now making.

Yeah, Hill and Davis are a thin front line, alone. Randle was the only big with mass (that also has NBA skills ... unlike Sacre) so they are in a tough spot.

I just don't see any way out of this hole but I'm hoping something miraculous happens.

Is Blatche actually available? He will put up numbers at least.

Just sign Roscoe Smith.

Yeah, Roscoe Smith.

We need to go full tank now.

Maybe keeping my avatar from last season was bad karma.

Your thought process is in the right track but these may not be the right two people. This years version of the lakers have to resurrect the spirit of the "Bad Boy Pistions to be successful. They are gonna have to be tough cause they aren't that talented.

Problem is none of these guys have a reputation of being "tough" hard nosed defenders.

Ryan Kelly? Boozer "the Pointer/Yeller?" Hill "the Boozed?" Sacre the Affable Clown? Davis the Stoic? Not exactly a tough crew.

I don't think there's a roster spot to fill unless someone is released.

Royce White, he'll back down from a flight, but not from a fight.

He's also a ball handling big man who may simultaneously take care of our big man and PG shortage if it works out.
