I'm getting tire of people whining over non-impact player clogging up the Lakers future cap space in 2016. The Lakers did the right thing by aiming for 2016. Any "small or medium size fish" does nothing for the short or long-term plan, period.

Yeah, because stars love coming to teams that are completely void of any talent.

The Lakers need some resemblance of talent on the team to attract the "BIG FISH" free agents. You can't expect Durant to leave Westbrook and company to join the Lakers filled with Wes, Xavier, Hill, Ellington, Suckre. However a team with Issiah Thomas and Lance Stephenson along with Randle would have been a nice core to lure Durant to the Lakers.

You have two options to attract talent. One, you either have a marquee player already on the roster and two, you offer them from scratch, meaning you tell them to call one or two of their friends to team up in a story franchise and market like the Lakers.
