Big deal. Boozer had 4 points and 8 turnovers. With just 6 more points and 2 turnovers he would have matched Pau with a double-double. |

Ha!!
I don't blame Pau for leaving. The Lakers didn't have enough to offer him to stay. It is rebuild time, I get it. _________________ R.I.P. Doc Buss |

what's sad is 75% of his negative Impact doesn't even show up on the stat sheet. Failed box outs, wide open rebounds missed, bad defense, poor defensive help rotations, defense clogging lanes because he's not an offensive threat, poor spacing due to his lack of mobility, opportunity cost of having a better player contributing.... Just to name a few things |

Guy took less to play elsewhere. Not sure what the Lakers could have done.
I'm almost certain though that people will revise that narrative and say the Lakers "let him walk". |

Pau made his choice. He took less money to play in a conference that isn't as competitive, and his team in Chicago is pretty deep with him on it. On the contrary this years Lakers are thin in a number of spots and theres a pretty big chance they won't make the playoffs. |

Pau Gasol was NOT the problem last year. The man put up good numbers on a team with a WORST ROSTER than what Kobe has now.
It is absolutely clear that Jim Buss decided last year that the Lakers would wallow in the bottom of the standings so that he could pull a couple of decent players out of the draft. This is WHY they gave Kobe all that money AND hired Byron Scott (despite his big time weak bleeping coaching record)... to simply keep the seats filled because Jim Buss absolutely knew he was selling out these two years.
Add this terrible plan with TOTAL BLEEPING INCOMPETENCE from Jim Buss and you have the current disaster that is our Los Angeles Lakers. As for Kobe, he is going to break the NBA record for T's this year because he is a winner playing with semi-talented losers in the powerful Western Conference.
Jim BLEEPING Buss is the least qualified person in the entire organization... and he's in charge. What a BLEEPING NIGHTMARE!
It's all about lottery from here out... _________________ A three headed monster... Jeannie, Pelinka, and Ham... another terrible season.

I'm really excited about the prospect of Boozer returning to his Utah Jazz all-star form..... he is still very young and still has a few prime years left.... I think if he plays like he did with the Jazz... we would be in contention in the WC

Leave it to ESPN to take a shot at the Lakers acquiring Boozer via amnesty only because it's the Lakers..... ESPN does not know basketball.... and don't know that Gibson/Noah was the reason Boozer did not put up consistent all-star numbers in Chicago.
end of kobe2.0 quotes...thank god

Boozer's just another player who doesn't know what to do besides watch Kobe. Bad coaching + fear of Kobe = Boozer's line last night. Same problem with Lin but it was entirely predictable. We'll see if Byron has the chutzpah to have Kobe start spreading the offense around. _________________ Championships since NBA/ABA merger in '76: Lakers 10 - Celtics 5 - Clippers 0 --- Phil Jackson 10 - Doc Rivers 1 |

It's all about lottery from here out... | This year's roster might be worse. We dont have any freaking shooters anywhere. The one we do have outside of Kobe is hurt.
This team got completely blown out in 2 straight games. I dont see them getting any better especially with Randle hurt. He was the little hope i had that he would get better through the season and become one of them on the verge of being really good. Thats all shot to hell. Lakers are completely screwed this year.
Watching Kobe get frustrated because there is nothing he can do to make this team better is going to be like an old shot boxer thinking he has one more good fight in him. Its just going to be sad to watch. |

He had 8 turnovers in 23 minutes with minimal amount of touches. The only explanation I have is that he went color blind during that time because he literally was just throwing the ball at the wrong jerseys. |

I love Pau and wish he would have stayed and retired a Laker with Kobe. But having the chance to win another ring this year was too tempting for him to pass up and I understand why he left.
Boozer had a great 1st game too and put up 17/7. He was terrible last night but it was only one game.
The key is consistency. I expect Boozer to play more like he did vs. HOU than the way he played last night vs. PHX.
The season is only 2 games old. 80 more to go. Be patient. |

Are people really gonna blame Pau for leaving?
after hating on him for last 3-4 years?
Pau was almost traded and blatantly disrepected by the FO and coaching staff. I would refused to resign on principles alone |
