Easy to be 21/11 when you're playing with Noah, Rose, Gibson etc. Not debating Boozer trashness, just saying Pau was smart where he chose to go

If Chicago is healthy, they are the team to beat in the East.

Someone made a thread asking who was better between prime Pau and prime Boozer.

I think this goes to show how good Deron Williams was in Utah, making Boozer look like a legitimate all-star.

Wow. Prime Pau was a legit tier 1 big man, possibly best in the league. Prime Boozer was a borderline all-star at best.

If the Lakers really wanted Pau here, he'd be here. They made their apathy toward him clear long before they offered him a contract at the last minute.

It's time for Ed Davis to start in place of CB.
Boozer could add scoring and leadership to the second unit.

Never thought he was that good even in his prime. If you watched him enough in all of his previous stops, with the exception of maybe one season in Utah, he's an extremely frustrating player to have on the team. He can put up stats, but I found them to be "empty stats" often, but makes a lot of boneheaded decisions, especially defensively.

Despite that, he's a serviceable PF these days capable of a big night here and there but not each game. Also has always seemed like a great team guy and somebody who has his team's back. Hopefully he rounds into a 14/8 player each night for us.

Watching that game, Pau wasn't all that impressive on the things that he struggled here with. There were still blown assignments and missed rebounds the entire game. The defense did it's job, but offensive rebounds killed the Bulls more than anything. They let Tristan Thompson get 12 offensive rebounds. 12.

Pau is obviously better than Boozer, but the presence of Pau for the cost and the contract length was not worth it. Not just that, he's playing in a much better situation where Gibson and Noah can mask Pau's flaws at this point in his career better than Hill/Davis/Sacre combo.

Boozer isn't great, but he should play better and I expect him to play better.

Thompson killed Gibson and Noah on the offensive boards too. Pau had nine, Gibson had three. Pau also did a really good job challenging shots in the paint and ended up with six blocks. What hurt more was Pau missing good looks he generated for himself in the post and wide open baseline jumpers. And then there was the horrific meltdown by the Bulls (without Pau on the floor) to end he fourth that wasted Heinrich's insanely clutch performance and let the Cavs send the game to OT. The only truly horrific board Pau gave up was in OT, when he yelled and pointed at it instead of going to get it, which is what Thompson did, which prompted Tom T to pull him instantly. Unfortunately for the Bulls, neither Noah or Gibson did much better as Thompson grabbed three more offensive boards around them to help the Cavs put the game away.

Pau was definitely the better player. But in defense of Boozer, he averaged 20.9 points (56.1% fg), 11.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 0.9 steals in his peak. He was a legitimate all-star.

welp as LG predicted Pau is on the bench to close out games. He gave up at least 6 off boards to tristan last night which led to them losing a game they shoulda won

I certainly do not want MDA back, I hate small ball and an over reliance on the 3 ball. I also like Pau, he is not much of defender, but he was a willing passer and that is good thing when playing along side Kobe.

By refusing to trade him? Pau wants to win, he made the best choice for himself.

Boozer has the capability of still putting up 20/10 games... problem is we got Booz at a time were hes ready to hit the sunset..... hes probably gonna be a 3rd string big-man after this season for some other team or he's probably gonna call it quits and go fishing at Alaska,

Boozer's problem isn't that he needs motivation.... he just doesn't have the mentality to put up big #'s anymore... we might see a couple of decent games... but hes not someone you can rely on anymore... should have gotten him when he was in his prime... asking him to do anything at this point is fantasy... he should be benched.
