Most of the Black Friday sales occur on Thanksgiving now. |

Are we sure they're campers or are they just homeless?

This year several big box retailers are staying closed on Thanksgiving Day so their employees can spend time with family. |

I think I've only physically been to one store on BF, ever. Strolled into Target on Black Friday in the afternoon a few years back. The crowds were already gone and the store looked like it was hit by a tornado. I think I picked up a few Blu-rays for cheap.
Other than that, I'll stick to online shopping during the holidays. Got some great deals last year and didn't have to camp out like these fine upstanding folks. I think I signed up for Amazon prime and got free 2 day shipping... Then cancelled before the 30 days. I recall even getting a few packages the very next day (Sundays too)
I am looking forward to the obligatory vids of all the BF chaos this year. It's tradition. _________________ "Dread it, run from it... destiny arrives all the same." |

That being said... I am hoping for some kind of deal on the PS4. Xbox1 has dropped in price and has a game or 2 attached. SONY needs to respond.
Several BF ads have already leaked online. Target has the XB1 + Assassin's Creed Unity and Black Flag + $50 gift card for $329. _________________ "Dread it, run from it... destiny arrives all the same." |

There are a lot of cheap TV's for sale this year...too bad everybody already upgraded to 1080p already. The next step is 4k and those aren't cheap enough yet not to mention there isn't enough content out there to justify the purchase price. |

Only one I can think of is Costco and they never opened on Thanksgiving.... a lot of the stores actually moved their opening times up this year....so instead of 8pm on Thanksgiving Day, its 5pm. |

BF shopping is an incredible pain in the ass.
Although I could use a new office desk. |

Doorbusters are impossible to get unless you camp out.
Otherwise, EVERY other "deal" is also online and have been so for years now.
In essence, don't bother fighting the legions of unkempt masses unless you want something like the $200 50" Panny LED 1080P TV that's in the Best Buy ad. Don't even leave the house. Everything else is at your fingertips. I mean that...coming from a voracious shopaholic.
Also, sans doorbusters, the deals leading up to BF are just as good if not better at times. Again, not counting the handful of limited doorbuster items. BF has been overrated for years. |

I had a PS4, took it back...lack of time and didn't like the games out.
But when Arkham Knight or Uncharted releases. |

Yeah, I remember back in the early 2000's when Best Buy actually opened at 8am on Friday and you didn't even have to camp out...Just show up a couple of hours early and you could get some of the doorbusters.....Now people are camped out weeks before the sale, so there is no way you can even get the doorbusters anymore. Probably not worth it since you can wait a couple of months and the competition in the market will lower the prices to doorbusters level. |

Costco is one of the few companies that treats it's employees right. The CEO also takes a reasonable salary and works hard for that money by making sure his employees are well compensated and happy. |
