Locker room w/ Byron...

Nash? Nash? Nash?

....Fed up with Nash, both Mitch and Jim went to his house and pounded on the door to confront him. They said after that they never saw him but instead heard..

Oh, I'm sorry. I can't come to the door right now. I'm afraid that in my weakened condition, I could take a nasty spill down the stairs and subject myself to further team absences. You can reach my agents at their places of business. Thank you for stopping by. I appreciate your concern for my well-being. Have a nice day!

Doesn't matter. All the Nash apologists will find some way to defend him.

The guy is employed by the Lakers and the head coach is his immediate supervisor. He hasn't spent time around his team and he doesn't acknowledge the head coach.

I said it before, and I'll say it again. Nash is Trash. He should have never been a Laker to begin with.

The hell with Steve Trash. Hopefully they find a way to void his contract for not reporting to work.

if he's still under contract, and he is a no-show, can't they cut his paycheck? As an employee, you are obligated to show up for work.

He'd gave said something to the media, the fans would go "OH ZEN MASTER!" and then when Nash returned of his own accord everyone would say it was because of Phil.

For the same reasons they gave Phil dap over signing Quincy Acy but hate upon Mitch for getting Lin and a draft pick...

sounds like the FO gave Nash the green light to have a year long vacation without consenting with Byron or thinking things all the way through

KEEP HIM OUT OF THE LOCKER ROOM. OUTTA SIGHT OUTTA MIND!

I have no idea why the Lakers want Nash around the team.... he has no ties or any sort of legacy with the Lakers... his only fame as a Laker was getting injured... by colliding with Lillard... I have to think the Lakers are working extra hard in trying to trade his expiring deal... I'm guessing they can accomplish that only if they give up the 1st round pick they got from HOU.... Nash should not be apart of the Lakers.... he's been a Suns/Mavs guy his whole life.... send him elsewhere.

Totally understandable, how about Jim and Mitch, do they return your calls?

Of course

What exactly... is the point of him reporting to the team... if the Lakers are trying hard to trade his exp deal as reported by ESPN? he knows the Lakers want to trade him... he has no reason to be around the team.

I was all on Steve's ass for not reporting to the team back when the season started, but now that we're literally the worst team in the league (forget Philly they're not a real NBA team) I don't blame him for not wanting to be associated with this train wreck.

But the point is.... Nash being there to mentor the players and have some sort of coaching role on the sidelines is not really that big of a deal.... until you realize that the Lakers are trying there hardest to get rid of you.... if the Lakers want some intelligent high IQ player mentoring the players.... there are a lot of retired NBA players who would love that role.

Nash probably does not want to talk about Byron's no-sense offense.

And teach him what? How to be grossly overpaid? Lin has that worked out just fine. Major difference being he's willling to actually make an effort to earn his paychecks.

Nash said that if the 2012-2013 season took place one year later, then they probably wouldn't have tried the Princeton because of the move towards analytics. Ha, guess again! Is it possible that after they got pasted by GS in preseason, that he looked at the system and the roster and just said screw it?
