Clarkson showing off the handle in this game.

Also Xavier looks like he needs to cut a couple of pounds off but it was nice to see him go for 33.

Xavier looks like he can be what Lance Stephenson is but he just hasn't put it together and his health has also held him back

he still isn't getting any lift on his layups.

Misused, lol. They were against d league competition and defense, that's exactly what they should be doing, overpowering the smaller guys, getting space on the slower ones, and shooting over them. NBA is a whole different ball game. It's encouraging to see them perform well, but it means nothing if it can't translate to the NBA.

Also kinda funny how they both had great games, and yet the Defenders got blown out because they couldn't stop anyone. It's like the Defenders are a reflection of our team last year.

Wes need to boost his confidence too in the D League, that would light some fire on his behind.

Can the Lakers pick up a player named Blue just so we can yell "Sacre-Blue!" Has that joke been done before? This team isn't worth new material.

Well, now that Vander Blue is on the D-fenders. It's likely Rob Sacre will get the call to El Segundo before Vander is called up, so it might not be too long into the future when Sacre-Blue is echoed at the practice facility.

Wait, so working out with Kobe over the summer didn't count?

Henry is about 3 weeks away from being in actual basketball shape. Still isn't getting lift and is still heavy. You can even tell it against D-league comp.

I'm still confused as to how healthy Xavier is. First we hear he's looking for a 2nd opinion on his knee, then he goes off to Germany for treatment, then suddenly he re-appears and starts playing - obviously out of shape. It feels more like he's still not right, whatever is/was going on with his knee, but he felt he had to rush back to save his NBA career so... hopefully he's not risking long term damage by playing...

he's obviously not healthy. he's gotten no lift on his layups with the Lakers or the Defenders. If he was healthy, i think Scott liked his game enough to let him play through the rust; if he looked at least decent athletically and energy wise.

SMH every time I see X play. Can we X the X yet? Haha.

I think I'd rather have Manny Harris.

They can't cut him if he is hurt. They could reach a medical settlement with him, though.

D-Fenders just ran the Spurs loop for Clarkson and got a bucket.

Hopefully they are testing it out for the real team.

EDIT: SICK sequence of multiple Moon blocks and layup, and then a Clarkson to Roscoe facial jam.

He's healthy enough to play. So how can he say he's hurt?

The Lakers can cut him if he sucks right?

Clarkson should be getting more playing time, Price won't be here next year. Rookies are going to make mistakes and they will learn from them. Byron should know this by now.

If they work out a buyout.

Ahh. Because his contract is guaranteed?

I just don't think it makes much sense to play, and then if the Lakers want to cut you you say oh I'm hurt now.

He just played 37 minutes in a dleague game. I don't think that's an argument he can make.

Yeah so then he is physically able to play right? He's just not able to play very well at the NBA level.

X is out of shape. Healthy but out of shape and getting up to NBA speed. I'd rather look at Roscoe Smith and Quincy Miller right now while X gets himself re-acclimated in the D-league.
