bring Shabazz home Pelinka....

Could we get him for the #27 pick? I'd even through in the #34 if necessary.

that would be my plan.

For LA, if they're going to offer up those picks I'd like to fill the bigger need of a defensive SF. Muhammad was more efficient than Young, but they're stuck with Nick so two bench scorers without a starting defender wouldn't make sense. If he keeps progressing maybe they eventually bring him home if he ever hits the market.

I think Derrick Williams is a possibility here this summer as a pelinka reclamation project.

My nightmare FA signings this year.

Love $19M
Rondo $3.5M
Williams $2.3M (Room)

I would die

Id like to see some analytics on his game. Defense, offense, iso, spot up 3's, etc.

Does Wes? Shabazz showed nice improvement, but not so much where he is untouchable. Lakers should move now. He's still on his rookie deal.

How does Utah feel about Hood? He would be a great fit at SF with his shooting. Would the #27 and #34 be enough to get him?

I kind of like this, but I gotta see who is available with our picks first. Or if we can move up to get Justin Anderson.

But Hood has some promise

Interestingly:

Mason Plumlee was measured at 7 feet with shoes; Black at 6'8.5.

But Black has a 7'2 wingspan; Plumlee at a measly 6'11.

White and Asian people generally have a 1:1 or 1:0.9 height:wingspan ratio. Too bad for basketball purposes.

Well my kids are half Asian/black. Russian roulette genetics wise.

It worked out well for Clarkson

Hood showed some good promise and has good size at 6'8, and shot a very respectable 37% from 3-point range last season. His shooting percentage overall was only 41%, but he took 46% of all his shots from downtown. And he did shoot 67% at the rim, suggesting he can finish when he does get there. He's a solid part of their rotation so I don't think they would make that move, because they know he can be decent and still has upside. Plus he's very cheap and under team control for 3 more seasons, at least. I actually wouldn't hate this hypothetical deal for the Lakers, since Hood is so cheap. I might even like it.

Yes.

He showed amazing improvement, and he may be worth pursuing, but I highly doubt he'll be available for a late 1st round pick.

7 or 8 million a year? He'd certainly be an upgrade over Wes. He's been a good fit for the Rockets, so I'd think they'd look to keep him. Plus, he has a player option for next year.

Hypothetical. Pacers offer Paul George straight up for #2, what would you do?

If PG never broke his leg ... yes its a definite consideration. PG was the closest thing to Scottie Pippen in forever.

Keep the #2, we already have two guys who've had bad injuries on their legs. We'd have 3 fully functional legs

Davis is the only player I would consider trading the #2 pick for.

Kudos to Jim for being a Lakers fan up in that area. It's the Warriors time for the next few years possibly. But we'll be back.

He worked out for the Lakers last year and they came away impressed. Could be available with Gordon Hayward and Burks both signing extensions last season.
