That right there is our starting center. And we will be paying him pennies too. That shooting form surprised me to be honest. Let's hope the man can stay out of trouble and realize that this will make or break his life. I would love to see him drop 25 lbs and be ready to go

Mitch is going to look like a genius for bringing this guy in. _________________ Not a legend
Please don't sign bad contracts. All I ask. I don't even care if we don't get any significant player
This.
Shopping for an exotic car, and not having any in stock, so we decide to settle for Blake Griffin Kia's... its ok, to pass.
Hey, I drive a Kia...
No offense man. Hey I drive a Toyota.
Point being, is if you have the money, and what you wanted wasn't available, don't go blowing it on stuff you won't nearly be satisfied with, when you can just be patient and wait it out and spend on something you truly wanted.

90% percent of Free agents stayed with their current teams. The 5th year is HUGE!!
Very difficult to sign FA nowadays unless if you're team is closer to winning the championship.
Looks like next year will be as difficult as these past years attracting FA...DARN!!
The problem with rookies is that they usually break out in their second season or later which means we have to suck again next season which means no one will want to sign here yet again. That's also betting on the fact that our rookies will be really good which is no guarantee
Blake Griffin missed his entire rookie campaign and came in to average 22/12 or something stupid like that (too lazy to look it up). Maybe the year of prepartion is going to have Randle break out in a remarkable fashion. Clarkson also is in year 2. There's 2 guys right there that have a good chance of a breakout year.
Then throw in thsi infusion of youth. (bleep) it! 50 wins!
so next year we need Randle to make a Blake Griffin type debut (18/10), we need Clarkson to make the 2nd year leap to becoming a star (17/5/5), and we need Russell to play like a ROY (16/5/6). that and winning 40 games would be a victory IMO.
lets build the right way, rather than trying for magic bullets.
Mitch really is useless in Free Agency, This is the same guy that traded Caron Butler for Kwame Brown and before you say he got Pau Gasol what has he done since then?
Very Overrated as a GM IMO, If you have read Shaq's book you will know this _________________ Lakers
Falcons

He orchestrated a deal with CP3 on his way here... FU Dan Gilbert and Stern.
He brought Nash over.
He brought in that loser Dwight.
Melo didn't want to come here. Thank god.
Lebron didn't want to come here. Is that a surprise.
Yeah dude is totally overrated as a GM. We should be ran by Hinkie.

Problem is with fantasy sports evrry sports fan thinks theybareva gm and want to build a fantasy team takes 2 to tango in a trade in NBA I feel the league is somewhat colluding against the Lakers and in this FA none of the guys whonhave signed outside of their own teams are the difference makers
We live in the LeBron generation where guy dont want the challenge of being the first piece or leader of buioding a championship team they want to bevthe last piece and have easiest path possible since this is the case almost every high profile guy is gonna look elsewhere and middle of road guys gonna get overpaid
Sign Harris, Davis, and Blatche. Davis and Blatche will not break the bank and will keep the seat warm until we pass it off the 5 to Upshaw and Black. Harris can grow with the team and is versatile (sf and pf). I do not think Lopez and Monroe are long term answers (but they are going to be paid as such).

This is true. The current players hitting the market and sought after, aren't looking to make their own name and legacy on their own team like in the past. These guys today are just looking for the easiest golden ticket.
When Shaq left to come here from Orlando, he was coming to a team he knew he would be the big dog. The rest were younger guys, and rookies with a few role playing vets. Today none of these free agents would dare do that. Basically the whole big-market angle is obsolete today.

I have been calling out Tobias Harris until I have turned blue.... bring in Davis and as you mentioned Blatche. Great added pieces to the core of Kobe/Russell/randle/Clarkson/, a great foundation is set, add in the next Max K's in 16' and 17' to join the young guns....
