I read that Phil might gamble on bringing back Sasha Vujacic and Andrew Bynum to the Knicks.

If they can contribute just a little bit, you already have a Superstar in the making in Porzingis IMO, Melo staying healthy this season hopefully.....

Not bad lol

Where did you read about Bynum possibility?

RE: Bynum to Knicks rumor from 2 months ago.

http://en.yibada.com/articles/35797/20150531/nba-rumors-update-andrew-bynum-plans-to-return-next-season-knicks-likely-destination-for-big-man.htm

Quote:
His agent David Lee stressed Andrew Bynum will be 100 percent ready for the 2015-16 NBA season, as he planned to undergo platelet rich plasma therapy to address the injury (New York Post).

The New York Knicks were reportedly one of those teams, but president of basketball operation Phil Jackson decided to take a step back until Bynum proved that his knees aren't bothering him anymore. Nevertheless, Lee stressed there's a chance the Knicks would revisit that option this summer.

"If he's healthy, Phil will be interested,'' Lee told The Post. "Phil knew how to tap into Andrew. They got along famously.''

Who else is out there that's a free agent and knows the Triangle? Metta, Lamar, Shannon, DJ didn't work out when they signed with the Knicks. Ronny, Smush, Kwame and Jordan Farmar are all available.

I'm surprised that more of the young guys on the '09 team didn't do much with their careers. Ariza is the only one that had a decent one after he left. Brown, Sasha, Farmar, Luke, Turiaf, etc. Thought they'd do more than they did.

Looks like Kostas Papanikolaou will be waived. I would pick him up if that were a possibility.

Could someone break down Kostas' game? All I know about him is that he's Greek and played well enough in Europe to make Houston give him a near MLE level deal but then hardly played last year.

@IAmDPick: Denver Nuggets will waive Kostas Papanikolaou, source said. His $4.7 million deal is non-guaranteed.

Possible that Philly or Portland claims him on waivers as they have the cap room to do it.

I have been wanting the Lakers to go after Moute too.

I would change my focus to Kostas in a heart beat. Not because he is so great but because he would fit the Lakers so well.

Just turned 25. Solid defender with great SF size. 6"8/230. Not a great athlete but solid fundamentals and high effort player. Decent shooter but not going to wow you with it. Similar to what we hope Nance can become. Actually a bit surprised that Denver is waiving him. They seemed inclined to keep him around last week.

What jumps out to me is his maturity and high bball IQ. He makes the right plays. He would be a nice balance to the Lakers youth and inexperience.

Going to be interesting to see if he will get any interest from the Lakers.

Except for the fact that he's a horrible defender, and couldn't hit the water from a boat with his shot, I agree with you...

Going to assume you are not endorsing his signing with the Lakers.
