Huertas looks like a better pg than cole so I'm glad he was signed. |

I bet Jim Buss is excited about this news since he likes to sign lottery pick busts. |

I wonder if Anthony Bennett is a Laker fan and watched Lakers games since he lived in Nevada during high school and while attending UNLV. If he is, maybe he'd be interested in signing with the Lakers. Room exception for Bennett? |

He played fantastic for Canada this summer. If he could be had at a decent price, I would take him. |

He's seeking a buyout so he can get playing time. He won't get it here. |

I don't want Minnesota's leftovers....unless it's Wiggins, Shabazz, Lavine, Dieng, or Towns.
I'd take any of those guys in a heartbeat. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

Worst #1 pick ever? At least Kwame played a lot and Oden played somewhat well in the little time he was healthy. |

Bennett is a turrible fit for this team....
He already has low enough confidence, despite being in rebuilding mode, we still expect a lot from our players and team. Bennett will not live up to any potential the fans expect....
We also need shooters and defender at 3...he is neither....he can't shoot, and slow to defend SFs. |

Plus the new CBA and the Wolves have no salary issues. Hope he turns it around. |

I agree. But I'm having trouble figuring out how Bennett helps our team.
And that's saying something (because we're not very good). _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

Bennett looked alright when he played for Cleveland in the pre-season. Guess he never got his confidence after his terrible shooting start. Think Cleveland was projected to pick Len first, but they went with the shock value pick. |

I thought we were looking for a PF? If he is anywhere near the glimpses he showed this summer, he may get a lot of playing time |

Why not both? Metta as a player coach, Bennett as a player. Doubt we go after Bennett, we have no space for him at the 4. |

We have Randle then Bass and then probably some small ball PF's like Nance or Holmes. He really wouldn't get much playing time. |

Randle, Bass, Kelly and Lance growing.
Hibbert, Black, and Upshaw growing
When would Bennett play exactly?
Won't surprise me if Bennett winds up a Knick, or a 76er. |

Bennett wouldn't be a bad pick up for the minimum. But the issue is that he needs to be in a situation where he's going to get a lot of backing, PT and investment from the coaching staff and franchise.
He has some Kwame Brownitis in him, in terms of having too much pressure on him as a #1 and probably never living up close to it, but like Kwame post-Washington, he can be a useful starter on a team down the road. And unlike Kwame, Bennett seems to have some basketball IQ.
I think he'll head to the team whose head coach he feels most comfortable with. |
