I think he needs to stop deluding himself. The players are trying their hardest but they're just not good enough.
GS had clowned us 3 times this season (preseason included). Does he think these guys have no pride and are just letting this happen? _________________ "My thirst for domination is fed only by the game. I refuse to get distracted by outside forces." - Kobe Bryant |

Lack of talent, plus the Warriors are in their prime right now. Look at the lists of the experts of the top teams in the NBA. Warriors have been in the top 5 this season. Were on the bottom. |

Byron is too proud to admit his system sucks. _________________ "Now, if life is coffee, then the jobs, money & position in society are the cups. I can't really think of any team that we were killing like this when we were winning titles. Warriors are just plain laughing at us during the game. And they're not a lock to win it all. |

Screw him. How about he updates his (bleep) into the 21st century? He was brought in to improve the defense and get guys to play hard for him. How's that working out?
He's minimizing our already meager talent.

It's a lack of talent and a lack of FO support, and a very average, if that coach. |

Has nothing to do with effort. The system is bad, and we have no talent.
I thought it was understood this would be a tank season? Why are people so surprised this team is trash? |

Such a cop out by Byron. It's obvious they've been trying hard, especially in the beginning of the season. Why don't you try playing the guys who are actually mobile, and benching the guys who miss rotation after rotation or don't call out screens? How about actually holding players accountable for defensive lapses during games? |

Look at the caliber teams we are playing in the first 10. If you think we'd win 1/4 of these games that's unrealistic. |

This plus our PP coaching equates to the worst team in the league-- Philly included. Tell me that you wouldn't take the Sixers' roster over ours....because I'd much rather have MCW, Worten, Noel, and Embiid to what we have now. The Lakers are Kobe and a bunch of stiffs. _________________ The butter's hard and the eggs are chillin' in the dark.

Lack of talent. Look how many open jumpers our guys missed tonight. We don't even have a lot of players who can hit open shots.
Effort was there:
Kobe, Price, Boozer, Davis, Clarkson, even Sacre were playing hard.
It's more of a lack of talent, and then not having much of a system. It looks like chaos out there. _________________ Good Laker book I recommend, "The Biggest What-If's in Lakers History" http://www.amazon.com/Biggest-What-Ifs-Angeles-History-ebook/dp/B00BB3OEC0 |

Tonight it was a total lack of effort. Although I basically tuned out after the 1st half.

Seems like players played harder for D'antoni. |

Philly is just holding back and collecting talent....the directive from the top is lose and get better thru the draft.....this team is actually still trying to win but failing miserably... |

They had more fun and were more engaged in the game under MDA (first month of the season). Passing and ball movement usually do that.
This is the first I've seen all season were even Ed Davis looked bored.

Lack of talent and our guys are horrible defenders and slow footed.
Slow footed and poor defense makes it sooo easy for a higher power offense like GSW to completely crush us.
GSW has #1 and #2 shooter in the game in Curry and Thompson. If you are slow footed or your defense sucks, each of those guys can light you up like there's no tomorrow.
So let's list our pieces that can allow us to keep them from scoring.
1) We have a rim protector? LOL. Not even close. Neither Boozer nor Hill can do anything about penetration or really blocking shots. We have ZILCH real big men. Sacre doesn't count as he's a bench warmer.
2) We have quick guards who can defend? Exactly who are we kidding? This team has ZERO ability to guard those guys. They don't have the mettle to fight through screens and picks.
3) Good rotations? Slow footed. No chance for that.
And how do we challenge them while on offense? We don't.
This year is pure and unadulterated tank. Far less talent on the court than we had last year with even worse defense.
Can anyone really say that Lin or Boozer can defend? Not at all... |

If you could fathom staying the entire way, the pass Xavier made towards the end of the game was the epitome of what this team was tonight. He was so lazy and pathetic on the pass, I was just sitting there watching and saying, this guy is making a million dollars a year playing like a chump. |

Haha it has come down to even when our players try their hardest, it is so bad that it looks like they didn't put enough effort. |

Yeah, D'Antoni's teams had their defensive issues of course but when they were clicking on offense, it always translated to defense too. This team hasn't shown any sign of that. |
