Could be you are right, and I loved seeing him back out on the court tonight. But I want to point out to everyone that our top 5 pick is not at risk due to our 2 win record.

wow, what a smart articulate 5 year old

I know! I looked at him and asked, have you heard me say that before?

He said, no... I just know!

Maybe he picked it up from me in our other win this year. =)

don't care about the top 5 pick i just want to win. tired of losing and the pick doesn't guarantee we'll get someone who can come in and contribute right away

This is the kind of team I thought we had. I don't expect to win-a-lot I do want to be entertained.

If we'd lost tonight I would have felt bad but would not have been angry. At lest we would have tried.

We're coming up on 20. That's when I make an assessment.

same here i thought coming out of camp we could win some games and possibly steal the last playoff spot. then nash goes awol, then the stupid swaggy hand accident. chemistry is an amazing thing and sometimes 1 added ingredient can make a big different to the end product.

Is it me or was there more Lin Kobe 1/2 screens tonight? It seems they were screening for each other a good amount tonight.

Can Wes drive the ball sometimes or make layups? He had one nice drive tonight for a dunk. But otherwise, he has a terrible touch around the rim.

rushed it, he was probably surprised Lin got it to him. But my guess is he rushed it because he missed it badly.

I didn't watch the game but so glad Lakers got the 2nd win

Had a feeling though, because its EC team. We are unbeatable against EC team!

If i could be a little pessimistic, it took Boozer, Hill, Bryant, Lin, Young to have a good game and Lakers barely won by a few points ..

Well, a win is a win.

Hoping a miracle for the Houston game

Problem is the team has to hit new lows before they wake up and play better. I wish I could say this team has improved a lot but the defense is still pretty bad. They let the Hawks score 109 points. Plus it is an eastern conference team afterall. The real test is if they can actually beat a team in their own conference.

I've been a fan of the Lakers since Magic got Pat Riley his first head coaching job, a fan of Kobe's since he was a rookie, and a fan of Jeremy Lin's since his summer league game where he schooled John Wall, and I'm very happy with the way Lin, Kobe and the whole team played tonight and happier still that they won.

And honestly, I'd love to see them win tomorrow night, and every game from hear on out.

And to those in the so-called "tank brigade", I think you've got a better chance of winning the California lottery than the Lakers have of finding a franchise player in the draft by "tanking".

And you've got a better chance of being struck by lightening than you do of winning the California lottery.

The Spurs tanked = Tim Duncan
New Orleans = Anthony Davis
Cleveland = Lebron James
OKC = Durant, Westbrook
Chicago = Rose

The odds of winning the California Super Lotto Jackpot are 1 in 18 million. I'll take my chance with the 1st pick in the NBA lottery.

I don't agree with this statement....some of the best Laker players were acquired thru the draft. Magic Johnson, James Worthy, Jerry West, Kobe Bryant (via Charlotte), Elgin Baylor, Gail Goodrich....to say that the Lakers can only acquire talent thru free agency is a falsehood thats been spread by detractors of the organization.

I don't understand

Boozer: 30 min 10-14 20 points 10 boards
Hill: 31 min 8-17 18 points 10 boards
Lin: 30.5 min 6-7 15 points 4 boards 10 assists 2 steals

and now...

Wes Johnson: 32 min 2-9 4 points 1 board
so defensively was he big?
1 steal 0 blocked shots 1 shot attempt blocked 2 free throw bricks
did he do something intangible that was not on the box score?

not trying to knock Wes, he's a good kid but he's not producing.

Also Kobe, 37 minutes with a B2B coming. I don't know about these minutes managing. I'd give more to Lin, like 34, but I can understand him getting less due to the B2B. Still Kobe had 37.

I think Scott is easing Swaggy in. We should see less time on Wes after a few games.

Excerpt from Atlanta Journal-Constitution:

Quote:
Kobe Bryant usually draws a crowd on the road but this one was chanting "MVP, MVP" every time he stepped to the free throw line.
When Bryant hit the opening basket of the game Phillips Arena erupted.
As he, and his teammates, made big shots down the stretch, there was a considerable amount of cheering for the visitors.
