Clarkson + Randle + Porzingis + maybe a 2016 draft pick.

I could have rolled with that... Too bad Mitch listened to Byron.

We got the point in the other 10 threads you posted the same thing in.

I will now resume the roll that was vacated by our beloved Dave20.

Clarkson, my son. KCP is out. You must step up and show them what an excellent combo guard you have become. Now rise...

Clarkson played like ass tonight....he just looked uncomfortable all night. One of his worst showings on the season.

I thought he was decent in the first half, playing under control. Kind of invisible in the second half.

Teams have figured out that he's running into trouble when doubling him off the pick and roll, that's what giving him and us headaches right now. he doesn't make decisions on these quickly right now, which leads to him pivoting for some time and stalling the offense or losing the ball. They have to work on that with him and improve the spacing.

Seems like more and more teams are taking out a page of the bucks playbook here. Hope he'll figure it out sooner rather than later.

Clarksons success this year shows that teams don't bother scouting this team. The Clarkson Randle two man game has been extremely effective but it's extremely predictable. They are always looking to score and if they get cut off, they pass to the other. If teams just sent a hard double every time one of them had the ball and then played the passing lane to the other, the Lakers bench unit would struggle.

JC has been our most consistent scorer this year. Only failed to score in double figures 4 x's this season. Not bad for a guy coming off the bench. I said this before that he went from negative value this past offseason to actually being a valuable player (play exceeds pay).

Is this true? What is the source of the Byron influence on the draft? I mean I believe he would do something like that because Byron is the root of all evil, but it almost seems to perfectly evil to be true.

Unfortunately JC is not a favorite of the FO or Luke. His time with the Lakers are numbered. I would prefer not to let him go but he would flourish on another team. I am confident with that and I am sure there are teams salivating at getting him for cheap.

The order of favorites (not including vets for hire) in my opinion are as follows

Zo
BI
Nance
Kuz
Hart
Randle
Clarkson
Zubac
Thomas

It’s amazing what JC has done in such few minutes and always being passed over for the new PG or SG of the team. Same goes for JR.

Free JC!!!

I'm all for keeping Clarkson, but if (after inking George for the full 30 mill/year) James will not take the remaining 26 mill left on the cap (about 9 under his max), I'd trade him in a second.

Matter of fact, I can see Cleveland taking Clarkson for James in a sign and trade. I can also see Wade coming here as Clarkson's replacement:

PG - Ball - Wade
SG - George - Hart
C - Frye - Randle - Bogut
PF - Kuzma - Wear - Jefferson
SF - James - Ingram

... Caruso, Thomas, and Bryant signed but playing mostly in South Bay.

honestly, if the way he has played in last few games is a trend...might be time to see what we could get in return....the guy has just not looked like the same player. Selling high, but a little too early is better than selling low and to late. I am not pleased with his performance recently.

How does this interview make him seem like a knucklehead? I was expecting to hear it, but I didn't hear it.

Clarkson has been playing his worst basketball since Luke started Hart over him in place of KCP.....I doubt it is a coincidence. He has been terrible the last 3 games. If the organization thinks they have lost him....then they need to move him.
