The NBA D-League streams the games live via YouTube on their site, which is amazing. You can watch Clarkson play at 6:30PM PST here: http://dleague.nba.com/games/20141122/IDALAD/ _________________ You are either in or on your way to the NBA Finals.
This season isn't about the development of the future, or even being competitive. It is all about Kobe indulging himself in a scoring chase. The front office has gambled that the fans are too stupid to see what is really happening.

No this is a stealth tank kicked off by the punted offseason manufactured by the front office. Kobe is playing the way he always has. Now whether that's good or bad for the team is another discussion.
I love clarkson a game and I think he's even added a couple inches to his vert since we drafted him after watching those dunks. What Ive really noticed stand out from watching his d-league performances is that roscoe smith is an NBA talent and we need to ink him before someone else does. I'd rather we grab him instead of some other random scrub sf

Giving Clarkson some of Kobe's minutes and shots would still result in losses (tanking) but would have the upside of developing something for the future. Kobe is in charge of the franchise and wants the scoring record. The future be damned.

I'm so sick of seeing Byron trot Ronnie Price out there every game. Get Clarkson more minutes. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

What's the latest on Clarkson? Is he still playing in the D League or is he rotting on the Lakers bench while Ronnie Price keeps building his brick house?
I can't wait for Byron to give Clarkson a chance to play as PG instead of Price. I've been watching Price a little, he doesn't shoot a whole lot but I think he still looks for his own shot a little more than I would prefer. He is such a bad shooter he should just constantly be looking to feed the other guys. Price should stick to playing defense and shoot only layups.
So far, Clarkson isn't quite the ideal pass first point guard but at least he is a threat to score and give the Lakers more length and athleticism.
As someone mentioned on another thread, I would also like to see them sign Earl Clark and move Ed Davis back to center for the second unit. Sacre should only play when they need some bulk....which is probably quite often.
Hill, Boozer, Johnson, Kobe, Lin
Davis, Clark, Swaggy, Clarkson, Ellington
Also play Swaggy with Kobe in Wes's and Lin's place sometimes.

Byron is developing Clarkson the old school way, sitting him on the bench is rookie season. Just like they used to do in the '50's. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.
