Loss of court vision and selflessness to make the right play is not a slump.

Ugly, ugly game. I hate watching JC play basketball right now. He's taken over for last season's Kobe. He plays like passing is against the rules of basketball.

this is exactly who he is. Bad to avg defender. Bad to avg playmaker. Pounds ball, hot and cold offensively never steady

Agreed. He was drafted in the second round for a reason, not just because all the GMs were stupid.

Nailed it.

Not trying to be reactionary about how poorly JC's played, but I really hope it's correctable soon. This has been his worst stretch as a rotation Laker.

Correct. But I think he's trying to shoot himself out of his slump and prove his worth, which is creating secondary problems in his tunnel vision and selfishness. Those are results of his slump that he really needs to figure out. But they're still related issues.

shooting is the least of my worries with him. He's a black hole who is a bottom 5 defender at his position.

it's not a slump. this team has less firepower so defenses keyed in on him. he's also been hella scouted which is not hard to do. Scouting report: he takes the shot 99.8% of the time.

Isn't he the 3rd highest paid player on the team now? This isn't the breakout 46th pick making under a million player any, ore. We need him to be less selfish and a team player.

Clarkson trying to dunk from what seemed to be the free throw line with a defender in front of him, instead of dishing it off to a wide open Randle, was probably the lowest IQ Laker play of the season thus far. Instead of an easy basket, we gave the ball away on an offensive foul.

not his game. Hes a ball pounder he'll come through with buckets sometimes but nothing else. He's tradable.

That being said, JC took some absolutely horrid shots tonight. Very poor shot selection. It's really disappointing to see him not display the court vision he once showed his first season.

Because he's 24 going on 25 and should be entering his prime and playing smarter and harder. The vets are on a decline.

Clarkson is what he is, keep in mind that hes basically a 6th man type or at best a semi-starter.

His regression has been a major disappointment...though.

We have injuries, we have guys out and we are in our first real losing streak of the season. I think that some of these guys are just putting too much pressure on themselves. The lack of effort in the first half had nothing to do with pressure, though.
