he probably couldn't. but, Clarkson can't play like that in the big leagues. he gets tight, loses shake, can only go right, misses all of his floaters...................

now he does need experience to get rid of the nerves and gain confidence; but don't expect him to look anything like he does in the dleague at first -- as he didn't in the first few games of the NBA season.
I think he's skilled enough to say -- we could get that player we see in the dleague if he develops confidence..

Winning games is BS mains priority at this stage. That means inserting more experienced PG Lin and Price in the game these guys have been there and done that. Clarky hasn't shown much to suggest he can be a major contributor to the team. Randle, YES! Clarky, NO! at least not at this stage.

Jordan didn't burn up the league tonight but at least he got 15 minutes of playing time which is a good thing.

He played better than how he played in his first couple games this year. Makes me think he wasn't fully recovered from his calf strain at the time (he had a weird running gate i remember)

He actually encouraged me today - you can say my expectations were in the dumps after his previous performances. But ya, he showed a confident handle today - he drove the lane and missed a wide open layup just due to nerves. But he had the skill to get there. He also didn't force too much offense today, he passed.. And his floater actually went down for the first time in the NBA ; that could be a very effective shot for him.

Clarkson has a ways to go. He'll see garbage minutes, Dleague and will progress from there. There is no way he gets ahead of Price or Lin in the rotation..

This is his first season in the league, he just needs to be taken slowly. If he's ready, next season he may be a better contributor...no need to rush the kid, he'll be fine...

it looked to me like jordan clarkson was finding himself being challenged in shots that he would've made in the dleague/summer league. just another stratosphere of competition, keep playing him in garbage time and see how he develops.

He's still not ready. But I like the playtime he's getting. Making those mistakes now and getting some more experience outside of practice. Seems he still has nervous tendencies with his layups.

Needs to work on his handle (strong hand dominant) and 3pt shot. But he has the tools to be in the 8-man rotation on a contender in a couple years.

He should at least be getting plenty of play during garbage time, which he isn't getting.

I don't mind him playing but i think it's hilarious that people thought he'd be better than Ronnie Price even. It's like they didn't watch his first couple games this season.
I'd still love to see him getting playing time in this lost season. I think he can develop into a solid player

Finally good to see him play some minutes. At some point when the losses pile up (even more than now), I hope this kid gets 20+ mpg.

Clarkson is clearly part of the Lakers future plans. The question is if he's a 1 or 2. Personally, think he's going to be just as good at either position. I spend a lot of time watching the kid play and he doesn't have any major hles in his game. He jisy needs more experience against NBA level talent to get used to the pace of the game. He doesn't know what he can and cannot get away with at that level yet and it will come in time. I'm not sure how he wasn't a lottery pick.

without getting too hype too early, I will just say this: JC has a real future in the NBA. I don't know what level player he will end up but at worst I see a guy who can be an X factor off the bench

In the first half, he missed a couple of gimmies, but then he got it going with an attack that drew 2 FT's, a jumper, and I believe a floater; in garbage time, he was just has good if not better. He needs more time. Screw Price at this point. Play Clarkson.

I'd start Clarkson from here on out...Nothing to lose...Win win situation if you ask me...Younger player and will only get better with experience

It's about time of the year for him to start seeing minutes.

But Coach Scott thinks all we need is a 24 game winning streak to get that 8th seed.

Hopefully he's a 1. There are a lot of big two's in the league and I'd expect more big kids. However, he could be a tall 1, which could be an advantage for him when he settles...just a thought

Clarkson is the person I want to see minutes behind Kobe, not Price, if Ellington is moved.

I think he's getting less nervous and playing with more confidence.
