I really believe that JC can be Conley-esque in terms of being a player who impacts the game at an All-Star caliber level without actually having the All-Star recognition from the fans or coaches.
He's going to be much better then Conley. Conley doesn't have Clarkson size and athleticism. 15/5/4 45% FG as a rookie is impressive. He's more of a bigger athletic Tony Parker.
I feel he is already very solid in the areas necessary to be a high pick and roll guy, as well as an up top off ball player who will work really well off cuts, spotting up, attacking off the ball reversal, or moving the ball to the weak side.
I hope Jordan has access to this data so that he can focus on increasing his efficiency in the weak areas of his shot chart.
Clarkson really won me over with his work ethic post NBA draft. I've never seen a player work that hard so early in his career.
I think his stat-line will hold even if there's more defensive pressure on him. He's working too hard for that to stop him.
I think it's very fair if he projects as 17ppg 7apg player down the line.
If he gets 3pt shooting down.. watch out. He already has change of direction, timing with pick and roll play, decision-making with his shot, and is very solid hitting the roll man.
What's left? Strength. Defense.
First priority should be improving his 3pt shot, if he can just get it to a respectable 36% next season, it'll makes other things easier. If we end up keeping him at PG, with his size he can eventually work on posting up smaller PG kind of like Adre Miller.

He's going to get a lot of wide open 3's with Randle getting in the lane and drawing double teams. Most of his 3's were off the dribble and highly contested, it should improve this year.
I think we're in for a surprise from J Brown next year too. Just hope he continues to stay aggressive because he has good scoring instincts.
Agree. He'll fill in one of our roster spots. He could play a little PG and also play some SG; so, I doo like his versatility. I also like Brown/Clarkson play with each other at times. Preferably against other teams 2nd units...
I follow JC on instagram, he's been training with jabari a lot.
Good deal. They'll motivate each other, have something to prove, and at the very least, we'll have 2 NBA players on our roster next going into next year.
I'm actually quite happy with Black, Clarkson, Brown, and Randle. 4 relatively cheap NBA players on value dirt cheap contracts. The icing on the cake would be this pick today...
You dont get better training with people who dont belong in the NBA. I hope he trains with Kobe
That sounds ridiculous lol. Training with Kobe will definitely help him but he's not going to always have a Kobe or Nash around. He's going to have to improve on his own and find out what he wants to do. Every star player has had to do that. Let's hope JC is in that mold.
And Jabari belongs in the NBA. He has sixth man potential. And we need off the bench guys for that offensive spark.

That's good. When you lift with someone stronger than you it helps get you in the mindset of getting stronger yourself. Plus Jabari is a good shooter from distance which also sets a tone if they're getting shots up.
Chronicle, Kobe got his crossover training with Shamgod, who wasnt an nba level player..... _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night.

They're going to develop of Kobe/fisher bond. Maybe even better
Maybe he'll invite randle over to his house more than Kobe invited fisher.
It'll be fairly easy to invite Randle to his house more than zero times. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

Clarkson on us getting 2nd pick (Towns and Okafor), on what he's working on for next year (3pt and pick and roll), being selected for the Rookie Team, and more
