I'm sure that's Tim our S&C coach and JJ who's one of our assistant coaches.

Clarkson with only a 2 week break. I can't wait for next season already.

2 weeks isn't much, a month break would be better.

JC and Randle + our new Rook are going to be an exciting bunch to watch next year.

I like him at the PG spot because of that floater. NVE used to do that back in the day and was an attack first PG. Except there's nothing weird going on with JC's eyebrows.

I think they said he's not playing in the summer league.

Clarkson IS playing. Mitch confirmed it in his last interview.

Clarkson himself even mentioned it on TWC after the draft lottery.

He was talking about how the Lakers may have the best summer league team this year with him, Randle, Towns/Okafor, Jabari Brown, and Tarik Black.

So, what is Clarkson going to end up being? Can he be a Kyle Lowry for this team? Can he be a starting PG on a title contender?

Well that's what we're here to find out right? All I know is that he should be given the chance to be that. He has the determination only the elite players in the league have. I want to see what that potential is.

Yeah I think it's too early to tell at this point. But, he's shown enough imo that he deserves a chance to be the starter for the Lakers next year.

The knock on him was the oh-so-famous "he played on a bad team."

However, he played efficiently, wasn't jacking up 30+ shots a game to get his points, and got others involved also.

His points may go down.. but his ability to do what he did last season I don't think is going to be hampered.

LOL, people who don't like Randle being compared to Lebron or Barkley or other HOF should read this and have it sink in. Even our GM makes comparisons just to illustrate potential.

Really clear they love him. They went hard to get him, and sources from the team were talking prior to last year about him being a better rookie than Randle (as in, showing out faster), and it seems he even exceeded their expectations.

KobeReloaded is gonna be furious when he reads this.

His Rondo dream is dead.

Jeff Teague from nothing to something. With his talent and hard work,I don't see any reason why Clarkson can't clone the success of Teague.

He's going to break something once he hears about Byron comparing Julius to Blake.

Next year will be a transition for Clarkson, and his stats probably won't be as good, but hopefully we will have more wind to show for it. Next year Clarkson should have:

Kobe An aging superstar but a reliable shooter, no double teaming Clarkson next year.

Hopefully a better shooting and offensive SF Middleton/Carroll/ someone not named Wes Johnson.

Randle at PF instead of Boozer. Another guy who can create off the dribble.

Okafor or Towns and maybe Davis back at center.

So next year you might see Clarkson as a 12-15 point guy with maybe 6-7 assists and tough PG defense.

Clarkson will average double digit assists. BOOK IT!

He will actually have a real team to play with next season.

If Clarkson ends up being a 10 assist a game PG, the title contention window opens quicker. Is that even his game? He is more of a tweener guard. Not a pass first PG.

It's not his nature but he has good passing instincts. He could rack up assists if he focused on it

That's to be expected. It doesn't mean Jordan Clarkson is any lesser of a player next season than last just because his stats go down. It just means there's more help around him and he doesn't have to be *that* guy like he somewhat had to be last season

Westbrook and Durant score as much as they do because they have to.

You could literally say that about any player not named LeBron James as whoever he plays with is going to take a back seat to him. See - Chris Bosh.

This is crazy, I think I am in a state of euphoria. Are you telling me we have a superstar PG in the making, a player the Lakers took in the 2nd round and the Lakers are going to get a potential superstar center to boot?
