Serious Q: Is it that serious if Boozer, Lin, Wesley, Sacre, etc. are upset?

I mean ffs who cares. They're srubs anyhow and will be gone come the end of the year. Our goals this season are:
- Get a top 5 pick
- Get Kobe in better playing shape
- Look for improvement in Clarkson, Kelly and Davis
- Make sure that Young and Hill keep their focus

I mean that's pretty much it. I could care less about how the other guys feel

But yes, because bad team chemistry is toxic and can poison the developing players.

It's irrelevant this season that the team is upset. However Kobe's AI mode, won't help FA's come.

For the record... I don't think Kobe was a FA problem last off season... But no one wants to play with a constant chucker.

The Kobe we're watching today... is a Kobe we haven't ever seen in a Laker uniform. The last time he went into "dominate mode" he was in his prime. You couldn't fault him for it.

This time... It doesn't have that feel.

Wes & Sacre upset? ...... you are kidding;.. right?

They need to count their blessing because they don't really belong on an NBA team.

most of them are playing for their next contracts, of course they'll be pissed if this Kobe ball has negative affect on them getting a next contract.

It doesn't matter if Boozer or Wes are upset; their games aren't winning material. It would be like the pot meeting the Kettle.

That's not my point... they can be upset. But should anyone care if they are? Kobe getting himself to a good level asap is worth those scrubs getting their feelings hurt

Doesn't matter if they don't play together anymore. Does matter if still need to play together. Even Kobe said that will do some changes. Is this too serious for this question?

It depends on why they're upset. If they're upset because they want to win, then yes, it does matter.

BTW... Boozer and Lin aren't "scrubs".

If your goal is to get a top 5 pick... then you have a different goal than the players do. That's a loser mentality.

If Kobe doesn't care about his team, then nobody will want to be on his team.

It tarnishes the Lakers brand.

For what it's worth, I don't believe that Kobe's chucker mode is because he doesn't care about his teammates. He just wants to win and he believes that gives the team the best chance to win.

It matters. Losing is for Losers.....period. The Lakers are unwatchable. All this "plan to tank and make plans for plan of plans" is BS. Do the best you can with what you can each and every day. Long term strategic plans are full of losing seasons and uninteresting teams. As we've seen so tragically with our lakers....plans can fail just as often as they succeed. It's a crapshoot. Don't sacrifice everything for the gospel of the plan!

Subject line a bit misleading since it seems you answered your own "serious" question.

They should be upset that they're still making money doing something they're terrible at.

You guys think the Lakers have any chance of winning unless Kobe is able to straighten himself out? Because that's the reality of it... i think both Byron Scott and Kobe know that the other guys don't have enough game to give the team a shot with a less than stellar Kobe. So Kobe is trying to shrink the timetable by forcing his game to raise itself by trial and error. If the other players were better, you wouldn't see it like this.

It's all about winning or at least giving the Lakers a chance to win. Otherwise, you wouldn't see Kobe playing sick as a dog and going 1-14 as a result. He's going to push his limits as quickly as possible so he can assess his ceiling now.

And yes... Lin and Boozer are scrubs. They wouldn't start for any team other than cellar dwellers in the NBA.

I pretty much agree with the OP.

Lin and Boozer's previous teams couldn't wait to get rid of them, and the fan bases felt their play was detrimental to their teams. Now I am supposed to be upset that these two bench players who are dressed up like starters, are feeling butt hurt? Not a chance.

If these were young, talented players who had a future with the team, then my thoughts would be entirely different.

They have friends around the league, some of who we might want to become Lakers. So a bad experience could prove harmful for the future.

Hopefully, they tell their other scrub friends not to join the Lakers then...

I think Boozer and Sacre knew what they were getting into when they signed here. Lin has 15 million ways to console himself.

Props to Boozer. Brought it after calling Kobe out ("We try to hit the glass when he shoots" ).

Or maybe not so much props, since I want to keep our top 5.

I hope the Lakers aren't going to "build" on this win and try to win games now.
