That play is 100% on Boozer. Gets caught out of position, then switches on to Sefolosha, making Kobe look like HE got lost. I'd be pissed too.

If you watch closely Boozer (bleep) sagged off without informing Kobe and now it looks like Kobe plays no D

Pretty much.

Regardless of this, Kobe barks at teammates in the heat of games since forever.

What an idiotic thing to make a clip about as if it's somehow revealing. Guyth look at my discovery on TIVO! Kobe yelled at his teammates. Christ...

Yup. Boozer was worried about the penetration from Teague so he rotated off his man even though we 1) already had weakside rotation to help and 2) he was following Teague into the paint from behind and wouldn't have been able to do anything anyway. There's no way Nick Young should ever be rotating/helping off of Korver in any case. Would rather give up a wide open layup for two than a wide open layup for three.

actually old man kobe has all the room in the world to yell at younger players. anytime you have an old man legend on your team DO NOT expect him to play defense. Just dont. if he plays any, its a bonus. Expect the younger guys to play better defense then the old man. The young guys should not be looking at kobe as their defensive guide. period. he's old, old men dont have the same breaks as they use to. so if they run to fast in one direction thats it. There is no cutting back in the other direction. This means they will leave someone wide open. Some will say well then why gamble? you have to gamble to create extra offense for a bad offensive bunch like ours.

Now as far as this screaming thing is concerned. I hate the internet. Because it makes it seem as if these things have never happened before. what if we had youtube footage of jordan punching kerr? But we dont. Even though we know it happened.

Kobe was yelling at Nick because not only was milsap open on that play(kobe was the closest. But so was korver. Korber is the most deadly of threats on that team. him being open made all of the lakers semi shift towards him as if they were going to get nicks man. you can see it when they show the replay in slo motion. With that said, kobe should've closed out on milsap as well. But who knows how that play started to begin with which placed kobe on milsap? Someone missed an assignment,a switch, or maybe a chance to trap the ball handler so that pass could never be made. But when you have vids like this completely out of context. It just looks like someone is being mean to someone else.

Boozer been in this league for how many years and still doesn't know how to play decent defense.

Kobe played about 15 years of great D. He's got all the room in the world.

So we give Kobe a bye for his defense because he is so old. But what about his offense: his TS% is worse than the average for 29 out of 30 NBA teams. Oh yeah but he's old--except that John Stockton led the league in TS% when he was 38. But of course Stockton shot a lot less and focused on getting teammates involved.... Maybe Kobe should try that.

Boozer didn't want to run all the way out there, so he sneakily switched on D so he could stay in the paint.

That's not what they are saying... you are going to the extreme. If you've played sports before players get on each other during games. Basketball is more obvious because its in the open, but if you visit any dugout or sideline of a football game you will hear a lot. Comparing Stockton to Kobe -- is like comparing apples to oranges, let it rest. Is this Dwight Howard?

Ha, no this is not Dwight Howard. And yes you're right that it's an apples to orange comparison. And sure sideline conversations can get heated...

But Kobe has got to stop shooting so much.

It was Boozers man, and the defense felt the same way. Thats why #25 came up to screen Boozer so he couldn't contest the shot.

Kobe was yelling at Boozer on the bench. You can see Booz way to the left.

ESPN shouldn't make a story out of this, because there's a lot video footage of LeBron yelling at Chalmers.

I think Kobe should have been the one to close out, instead of a slow-footed big man, who was going to be out of position anyway to grab the rebound in case of a miss... that would have also allowed Kobe to be available for a fastbreak opportunity in case the Lakers grab the board.
