Feels good to have another triple-threat wing player that's confident and talented enough to get his while playing with Kobe

We haven't really had this since that one season with Caron (Trevor was close but more of a 3pt and fastbreak player).

Nick has had zero problem getting his shots the last 2 games. Why? Because he actually wants the ball and works to get it. Less talented guards only want to shoot wide open shots and need to be spoonfed by Kobe.

It's amazing what Kobe has done without another real scoring threat on the wing for much of his career. LeBron had Wade to take pressure off him. (At the same time, Kobe has obviously had better bigs next to him)

Kobe has been counted on to create offense, basically all alone on the perimeter, because guys like Derek Fisher weren't going to create.

Caron Butler and Nick Young are probably the two best wing players to play with Kobe since Eddie Jones, unless I'm forgetting someone.

Let's be honest, he didn't need one. He had it even better with inside scorers - Shaq & Gasol/Bynum.

In a perfect world, Shaq/Kobe > Jordan/Pippen due to having an inside-out game.

Imagine if Nick would've came in the 2012-2013. We would've made it deep.

Its a huge help and no coincidence that the Lakers went from getting blown out every game to right there close in games due to Nick Young being the secondary legit scorer out there on the floor.

It is cool to see Nick Young not be afraid to get his own shot off...this team needs more of that attitude. Boozer needs to hit those shots he's been attempting.

Obviously Nick ain't 2008 Pau but his return reminds me of how our team went from a playoff squad to a championship squad back then. Obviously we didn't make quite that leap but we've seen how ONE player can make a huge difference when they're competent and playing with Kobe.

We had one year where we had both prime shaq and kobe and that was 2001, and we still got 3 titles. Had Kobe been prime Kobe in 1996 they probably would have got 6 or 7.

Top 4 seed in West, WC @ best depending on Randle's developement and Kobe's health. Keep Nick off the bench for scoring.

Nick Young was the guy we needed in 2011 or 2012...

Is it surprising? A player doesn't take 34+ shots in 3 qtrs and his team wins!

Still I don't like the hogging at the end of the 4th. He could have cost us the game with that idiot fadeaway half court three with 16 seconds left in the clock.

Anyway two good wins. But over 7 threes per game the last 7 games. Eeeks. Stop launching them 3sss

And if he hadn't made the And One over Ariza we wouldn't have been close.

Goes both ways. And we won. So 'coulda' doesn't matter.

What a difference a season makes. Last year he was routinely being clowned but now he's a savior. Strange times.

that's what Kobe does, playing that way has won him 5 rings. Currently nobody else can really deliver points other than a recovering Nick Young, who himself was starting to jack up some bricks.

Be honest with yourself. This is no way the way Kobe was even play right before his injury. He was straight dominating after the Allstar game. Over 30ppg and +50% fg. He wasn't playing Hot potato basketball and throwing up ridiculous shots the second he gets the ball. Its disgusting. If you say this is the way been playing. 35% throwing up 30 plus shots in three qtrs. Be honest to yourself. Take the shades off.

Well, Swaggy averaged 17 ppg last season and we were still in the bottom 7. He's a great bench option, but I'd like to see a larger sample size. Guy has been sitting out for a month so of course he comes out strong. Wish we had an actual good team b/c I'm intrigued by what he can bring to the table on a decent squad.
