I know this is not the best from an entertainment standpoint, but it seems practical to me.
Start Kobe, let him play for about 5 minutes. Just let him ballhog and run the offense however he pleases. If there's a good lead (aka it's effective), great...bench him now. Let the other guys play the rest of the quarter. Same with the 2nd, no Kobe. Start of third, play him for another 5 minutes, same idea. Then, if the Lakers are down in the 4th, put Kobe in for the final 10 or 7 minutes or so.
This way, Kobe just focuses on what he does best...offense. And he can go crazy, just all out. If the rest of the team can't win this way, well, that means they can't win a championship anyway, so that's fine. 17-20 minutes total. I don't care how much they are paying him, I'm just a fan not a Buss. |

No one it turns out can handle Kobe. Just hope he doesn't get too worn down as he continues to play heavy minutes. It's only 12 games in. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

To me he should never play a full quarter unless it's tight at the end.
First 6-8 min of Q1
Last 6-8 min of Q2
First 6-8 min of Q3
Last 6-8 min of Q4 |

Let Kobe catch MJ. After he's caught him Kobe will take himself out. He's the one managing his time. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I don't know why he's playing him full quarters. Would be nice to at least give him some rest (which would be then further extended because of timeouts) at the end of the first and third. We have Young now so it should now be doable _________________ Kobe |

It's just stupid that he's playing full 12 minute quarters. Even D'Antoni didn't do that with the exception of some 4th quarters in which he used Kobe to try to keep us in/take over the game (and I still think - admittedly with no medical or scientific evidence behind it - that it was those extended periods of non-stop play that led suddenly to Kobe's achilles injury).
Hoping with Young back that Byron can stop playing Kobe as many minutes non-stop, but so far, he's instead used it as an opportunity to play less of Lin and Price. |

You guys don't get it. Scott is helping Kobe achieve his 2015 goal, CATCH MICHAEL JEFFERY JORDAN ON THE ALL TIME SCORING CHART. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Well, if that's the case, I'm all for it!! Do it!
Whatever they do, I just want to relish as much mamba as possible these last few years. I'd rather see 10 minutes of hyper-competitive ballhog Kobe vs. 40 minutes of pacing himself. |

Nice point BS seems like temp. coach, hasn't shown any long term goal for this team yet. _________________ "Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience." --Sarah Cook. |

How about you don't worry about a number and bench him like anyone else. I know he's a superstar, franchise name. But how about you bench him when he has lapses on defense. Stop being scared of him.
Then Kobe would be sitting out a lot more, then it would click in his head there are repercussions for such bad defensive performances. We don't have a coach who would do that though. |

Scott is just terrible. Mr. Defensive Guru just got humiliated with 100+ pts in 3Q... and I bet all he has to say is we need energy, we need more effort. the guy is pretty clueless out there. _________________ "Now, if life is coffee, then the jobs, money & position in society are the cups. He should manage his time by benching his ass whenever he's hurting the team like he is, with his inefficient shooting and ball-hogging. |

Kobe needs to seriously work on his shot collection. 45% was ok enough but 36% is dleague, nba bust worthy. |

this is going to be a historically bad season, not just for kobe's career but in the NBA history. |

Coach Scott needs to rest Kobe a whole game on the next back 2 back series.
Scott is running Kobe into the ground.
Kobe may object but he's not the coach. Sit him!
Otherwise you are asking for an injury. |
