No thanks. Any playing time Shannon might get should go to Clarkson.
Same here. Shannon's yesterday's news. Didn't realize Miami was his 5th team since leaving the Lakers to chase the money. Haven't really followed him since he was in Phoenix but looking at his stats the last two years, his NBA career is circling the drain right now.
Also didn't realize Shannon and another money chaser, Earl Clark, were both fighting for jobs with the Knicks last season on 10 day contracts. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant
Saw Earl Clark with his new team, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers last week. At the time, didn't know he was in the d-league, the good news for him is that he's leading them in scoring so he might get a call-up again from some team out there. He did get paid when he left the Lakers for CLE, but injuries and bouncing around the league isn't helping him.

Is there any reason why no one is giving Andrew Bynum a chance? he was a 19/10 guy with the Lakers like 3 years ago..... you can't simply not tell me that this guy won't help a team when unknown scrubs are being mentioned as possible fill-voids on the Lakers roster..

Phil asked Shannon to play for the Knicks' summer league team to show them the ropes in the triangle. Then he promptly cut him. I think that says it all.

but even though Nash, Randle and most-likely now X out for the season, aren't we still stuck with a 15 man roster?
i'd like Quincy and Shannon on this team, but we'd have to cut 2 of our 12 active players, right?
we can't catch a break
Xavier is on a 1 year contract. 2nd year with us, so we can waive him and only give up his limited bird rights (sign up to MLE) which is close to useless for a team with salary space.
If he's really out for the whole year, waive him and sign him again in the summer. He still gets paid.

Why not? Time to bring some of the old band back. Gotta make this season somewhat interesting. Bring back Sasha as well. Metta also, maybe he can teach Wes how to be nasty.
