This guy can't play defense, turns the ball over, and has no offensive game.
He probably won't have an NBA career after this season.
Clarkson on the other hand is young with potential and room to grow.
Why is Price in the rotation?
Why not use Clarkson as the back-up PG and let him develop?
Even as a rookie, it can't be worse than Price. |

Price was the most vocal in the Lakers' meeting, preaching defense. |

He and Byron love to "preach" defense, but no action. They've now become buddy buddy |

Isn't he supposed to be a defensive specialist? He was getting carved up by Barea repeatedly. |

Ronnie Price reminds me of Derek Fisher minus the jumpshot and intangibles. |

He was supposed to be a defensive stopper, but his defense seems to be even worse than Jeremy Lin at times. |

He's taking Clarkson minutes, Price should be cut if we sign Miller. |

I didn't like the Price signing, but I tend to root for players that play hard, even if their skills aren't there.
But yes, it's pointless to be playing him over Clarkson, when we're clearly not headed for the playoffs. Give Clarkson some burn and let him get adjusted to the NBA style of play. _________________ Good Laker book I recommend, "The Biggest What-If's in Lakers History" http://www.amazon.com/Biggest-What-Ifs-Angeles-History-ebook/dp/B00BB3OEC0 |

Clarkson should be our back-up PG (the rookie needs to play in order to develop).
Price is a so-so 3rd string guard (nothing special).
Lin is by no means a great PG but he could be a great back-up PG (he is an average starter).
In short, we are weak at PG and just about every other position.
Batten down the hatch it's gonna be along season |

Hey Mitch, do the team a favor, give Price some parting gifts let him his way then, go and get Seth Curry. |

Price is what he is. An offensive bricking machine from everywhere with good defensive chops. Actually, we do need the defense more than offense at this stage, so there is value. I think that's why Byron likes him too--he likes pitbulls. But our team has so many weaknesses, he might just get lost in the shuffle. |

It's not about now, this is a bad team, you have to gather for the future. |

He's not second best though, even with Clarkson's state of unreadiness. |

About 3000 miles, which is about the distance from SF to Pennsylvania, which is where Seth is playing in the D-League.... |

Is his defense really that good though? I see him get burned often by PGs with quick first steps. |

Byron is in the mike Brown mode. Play Kobe heavy minutes and rely only on the vets because wins are hard to come by now. Although Dantoni was horrible too, he gave scrubs and rookies there chances. |

Nothing against him but he was getting carved by many PGs: IT, Joseph, Udrih, Holiday, Schroder, Beverley and as you mentioned, Barea. |
