11 points on 5-8 shooting with 5 assists and 2 steals in 18 minutes.
He showed some skills and tenacity.
If only he could play like that consistently then he would be worth keeping around. |
Yes, but the game before last game, he play 17 minutes, 0 points, 0 assists, 2 TO. In the last 13 games, Price is averaging 3.3. points, 2.2 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 21.0 minutes. Do whatever that will open up more minutes for Clarkson to develop whether it's waiving Price or Ellington. Start rebuiling in the off-season. |
The FO thinks differently then most fans... they understand Playoff revenue is a lot more valuable then the getting a Top-5 pick.... especially with the new TWC deal and everything this FO has in mind. |
Jim, is that you? |

Cut Price AND X.
Give Jordan Price's minutes and sign Earl and give him Sacre's minutes and some of Boozer's.
Lin / Clarkson
Kobe / Ellington
Wes / Young
Boozer / Clark
Davis / Hill
Keep Kobe's minutes more closer to 30 mins a game.
Less minutes for Kobe means the rest of the guys can actually run pick n roll and get something going to the basket, or drive and kick for open 3s.
Start Davis to give us a defensive presence on the inside from the get go.
Let the 2nd unit run more.
Let Sacre and Kelly cheer from the side line. Or if Kelly's leg finally gets right, give some of Boozer's minutes to him to help spread the floor. |

Why cut Ronnie, he is really the only usable point guard we have right now, Clarkson isn't ready yet. Xavier is the one who is done, he has had so many injuries i don't think he is coming back much from that, especially the achilles one, only Kobe can do that because....well Kobe. Ronnie at least provides defense for you and energy on that end which god knows we need right now. |

Ronnie Price is experienced and is a good defender but his offensive skill set is limited. I believe that Price is basically here to occupy a spot until the coaches feel that Clarkson is ready to go.
They are bringing JC along slowly, which is a good thing, because the lights shine really bright in the LA market & the fans can be tough on a kid if he doesn't show immediate results.
I fully expect Clarkson's minutes to gradually pick up until he is a staple on the second unit. If Price got waived it wouldn't surprise anyone and he certainly won't be back next season. But wherever he ends up I wish him well. |

A sound of reason!
Lakers do not have as many problems in offense as they do in defense. Price suites well in that regard.
Of course the biggest hole in D is under the basket... But that's another story. _________________ .

Bring back Shannon to replace Price. Like the triangle, the Princeton doesn't need a true PG. And Shannon is a 2 guard who can also guard some PG's. |
