Either the lakers look like complete (bleep) coming out the gates or they turn into complete (bleep) when the 3rd quarter starts. Lately it's the third quarter woes. Whatever it is I'm starting to think that this team is complete (bleep). Should I blame Byron or Jimbo

Showtime this.

Defense that.

Showtime this.

Don't shoot 3s

Let the other teams shoot 3s.

2 > 3s

So on.

Since Jimbo isn't in the locker room at halftime, I think you have your answer.

Probably D'Antoni and Byron saying stuff the team doesn't agree with and don't think will work. They lose respect for the coach, lose interest in the strategy, and fall onto different pages as far as defensive rotations and offensive sets.

<Byron death stare with sweat beading on his head, legs shoulder width apart, hands on hip, speaking slowly...>

Doesn't matter.

Doesn't matter it hasn't worked so far.

We have to stick to the plan. Not complicated at all.

I'm a patient person. Probably more patient than anyone else.

Stick to the plan.

Definition of insanity? Doesn't apply to a single game. Doesn't apply to tens of games. End of season we reassess. Were going to give every opportunity for it to succeed.

Now let's get out there and play D the way we planned.

I imagine BScott standing there with his arms crossed, just staring at the players stoically, not saying a word for 20 minutes. Players fidgeting and staring at their feet.

-The videos he played for the team were:

People playing with Ping Pong balls

Drinking games with Ping Pong balls

Lotto Ping Pong balls

and more Ping Pong balls

You must mean the magic of 17 points on 22 shots!

i'll tell you exactly what happens

"defense guys, we need more effort on defense"

"offensively lets share the ball a little bit ok"

he's all talk and no Xs and Os, always has been; and this is what these type of coaches say at halftime.

I think the Lakers holes on defense have been so easy to point out that the other team makes simple adjustments at half time and we end up leading the league in 3rd quarter points given up.

If you want at least a remote chance at the Bron's,Durant's,Westbrook's and Anthony Davis level players come 16'/17' then the lakers better throw a nice chunk of that 100 mill per year they make at a coach like Coach K, Thibs or Billy Donovan ....

Coaching along with low end talent is the reason for all what is up these days, nothing mysterious here... Coaches job is to be prepared with a plan to start with, and then adjust at half time.

The OTHER coach adjusts to the Lakers lack of skill....tells them they are taking away X, do Y. The better team usually pulls away in the 3rd quarter as they adjust to what the other team can't do. It happens in Football as well. You can devise a game plan that hides your teams weaknesses temporarily but the better team usually adjusts. Dallas has a very good coach so you aren't going to fool him. He sees what you are doing and adjusts, knowing the Lakers really don't have the talent to compete.
