After doing more reading I don't think the Carson one will happen now. Too many holes in the plan. It will be Inglewood or nothing in the end. Inglewood is probably at 50-50 right now because the whole state of Missouri is making a desperate push to keep the Rams.

Same here....I don't believe there is enough private money for both stadiums...most likely the Carson stadium plans will be a successful negotiating ploy to get both the Chargers and Raiders new stadiums.....Rams are already too far gone, and the St. Louis Rams fanbase is pretty small compared to the Chargers and Raiders.

Carson got played so bad. It's Inglewood or no NFL Football in LA for at least another 20 years.

Yeah, they used Carson alright....
Luckily they weren't dumb enough like the city of Irwindale to actually give a non-refundable deposit of $10 million dollars away.....
Those nice animations at least got the City of San Diego back to the table, and I'm guessing thats what the Chargers wanted in the first place....Of course their 2nd imperative is to keep the Rams out of the LA market, but my guess is that they won't be as successful in that regard if Kroenke is hell bent on moving.

what a pathetic move if Chargers pull something to block Ram moving to LA. it's their own fault the team still don't have a real fanbase. all those charger jerseys were sold because gangsters like those powder blue color. even during the down years whenever Raiders head south to play them it's like a Raider home game even when Chargers were going to the playoffs, that's pathetic and that's nobody's fault except their own. LA market belongs to the Lakers, Dodgers and Raiders. Clippers, Angels and Chargers can have winning season one after another but still nobody would care for them.

The Chargers thing was just a bluff. They won't block the Rams from LA. What will likely block the rams is St Louis. They are doing everything possible to keep the team and the NFL will help them.

If the Rams get Inglewood, does Farmer's Field in downtown LA still get built? Or if, let's say, Raiders relocate to LA, would they share the stadium with the Rams in Inglewood?

No on Farmers Field. That plan is done. Raiders sharing with the Rams in Inglewood is possible if the Rams move to L.A. FYI: The NFL/Rams are sending out surveys to ticket holders in St. Louis about PSL's in a new open air stadium in St. Louis.

The Inglewood City Council late Tuesday night approved plans to build a football stadium that includes St. Louis Rams owner Stan Kroenke as a partner, clearing a path for a return to the Los Angeles area of the NFL for the first time in two decades.

Kroenke should get the thing built as soon as possible. He can gouge the 2nd team on the stadium lease. The Davis family doesn't have the wealth to get a stadium built, and while the Spanos family should, they seem to really prefer not to. This could end up a lucrative business deal for Kroenke.

The less public money we can use, the better.

Also, the further we can stay away from down town, the better.. it would be a nightmare having a stadium there.

Yep, right now all we see are proposals...first builder that gets the shovel in the ground for construction will end up with all the events. There isn't enough money to build 2 stadiums.

I think Kroenke is going to stay in St. Louis in the end. I don't trust this guy. This is from 1995.

I wouldn't trust the intentions of these guys until they sign a stadium lease....we have been down this road before multiple times.

More bad news. Eric Grubman the NFL V.P. in so many words said that Rams and St. Louis are close to a deal. We already know that the Carson stadium is a dog and pony show. So right now it looks like no NFL in L.A. Still more twists and turns to come. Seems to change daily.

The NFL could end all of this if they just give LA 2 expansion teams.....sadly, the owners probably won't allow it for a multitude of reasons.

Yeah. Goodell is a coward though. What we are seeing transpire is the reason we will never get a team. They need LA for leverage for teams to get stadiums built in their own town. Its a joke thatJacksonville has a team.

Nothing like options and leverage to get things moving.

Chargers and Rams need to stay in their cities.

Los Angeles is a majority Raider fanbase. If any football team has to come to Los Angeles it has to be the Raiders.

You don't get it. If you're a Raiders fan you should be wishing for the Rams to come to L.A. The Raiders can't come to L.A. on their own. Being the 2nd team is the only way. Mark Davis doesn't have the money to move and build a stadium.

He's coward in general. Look at his tenure as commisioner.

Do you have a job? Do you do what your employer asks, tells you to? If you do does that make you a coward? Goodell is a employee.

That doesn't make any sense. I thought he already purchased the land. What is he going to do with that? Leave it a dirt lot?

Why would it be a dirt lot? There were already plans for that area without an NFL stadium. If there is no NFL stadium it will revert to the original shopping center/mixed use development that was intended.

Yes I have a job. Look if you don't think he's a coward then fine. His actions on things THAT he controls has been cowardly.
