I'm telling you guys, the game has become too physically taxing for Kobe. His legs have been there one night and gone the next since about game 5. He's complained about how cumbersome the recovery process is. Pre achilles injury it was not quite like this, and i would have guessed he'd play past this contract.
Well... The front office hasn't been right about anything basketball wise since our last championship. So I think Kobe will be around for a while. _________________ "If you see me in a fight with a bear, prey for the bear". Ive always loved that quote. yup, that's what i got from his final words.
i really wanted to go see the Lakers live at Staples a few times this year, but i'm sorry, i am not financially supporting this train-wreck. i hope the FO gives us at least a decent/competent roster next season.

So obvious, they want us to buy tickets for all those years of tanking.
Recently, I don't buy much into anything that the FO tries to say.
not only am I not buying tickets to see this garbage, if Directv offered a $5 credit to do without TWC I would take it _________________ IM THE GREATEST HITTER IN THE WORLD!!!1!

Thought about going to the Verizon Center for the Wizards game last week, but decided there was no way for me to justify paying $100+ to watch a team with no desire to win, even if it does have Kobe. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

@ you thinking this. if the lakers or some other team will continue giving him a big check to play, he will play. and how is it that a guy who is leading the league by far in shot attempts too tired to play?
this is just mitch's way of getting people to buy tickets to see the games and thats it. dont think there is more to this than it is.

Might be it for Kobe as a Laker, but I can totally see him playing for another team to get that 6th ring after next season. Maybe the Clippers, Bulls, or Warriors.

Kobe's retiring a Laker...I just can't see him uprooting himself to live in a hotel for the NBA season after his Laker tenure is over. He's too old to start playing in a new franchise when he has more than enough money to last several lifetimes.

No. For one thing none of them can pay him, and as hard as he has to work to get prepared for the season, he isn't doing it for vet min money. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.

Kobe's been anything but definitive on the subject. Sadly if he can notch some inefficient scoring titles I think there's good chance he plays until he's 39 or 40.

and be the laughing stock of the league. look scoring 30 a game on 30+ shots isn't something to write home about, i hope Kobe does not aiming for that type of a scoring title.
