Some @nbadleague chatter: I'm told Lakers target Earl Clark of Rio Grande Valley is now closing in on a lucrative deal in China instead

You know Earl is done when the team would rather let a roster exception expire than to sign him for dirt cheap.

Well, if China is offering good money then it may not have anything to do with Earl being "done".

Mitch should comment on this immediately. I sense that something big is going down.

He's currently one of the top players in the d-league, if not the top player. While that doesn't always translate into a Gerald Green, at his current pay scale, he's thanking his lucky stars someone out there is willing to pay him more than what an NBA team might offer.

His CLE deal was a team option after 1 year so he didn't get the full $8.55million. Earl ought to save up that cash while he can still get it.

No one wants to be apart of the train-wreck.... I'm surprised none of the Laker players have demanded a trade yet..

More money in China.

Our team sucks.

Who wants to get paid on the cheap for a loser?

He never got the chance to decide. And I would guess he would rather be playing in LA than in China.

Nothing is going to happen. We have no tradeable assets, this is the team we have accept it.

Me too. I liked Earl when he was a Laker. And you think our smog is bad here....

No worries, Earl Clark can still be back in the NBA by March. The Chinese league's season ends sometime in February depending on how far his new team... the Shandong Lions... go in the playoffs.

...depending on the money.

I'm sure that he'd rather get double the money in China.

E.Clark always goes for the money. He left LA to play in (bleep) Cleveland of all places.
