Scott saying he likes the spacing for our first unit, LOL.

the dude just throwing out anything now. aint nothing making any sense anymore. oh i think our 1st unit did an excellent job defensively and i love how the floor was spaced. we owe this one to our 1st unit. go 1st unit!

of course he likes it, because we only have 4 players on the court, so spacious

Man, like a different Laker team. Boxing out, fighting for loose balls, and when they stop being tentative good things happen, like shots start falling as well

If we keep it up like this we can kiss the top 5 pick goodbye. At least we still have the Houston pick and next years pick.

Might as well, try to add another player or two to improve the team and try to sneak into the playoffs, we're not getting the top 5 pick at this rate....

Don't get me wrong I'm happy we won but there is no scenario in which it should have even gone to overtime.

Kobe should not be playing PG, period.

Byron almost lost another game for us.

Kobe had 9 assists. We played some tough defense like B Scott wanted. No need to wring our hands about this when we won the game...

but it's bad if Lin and/or Price have 5 turnovers and 9 assists...

"I think we played pretty good for a team full of toilet paper" - Jeremy Lin on #Lakers OT win in San Antonio #Charmin

— Jaime Maggio (@jaimemaggio) December 13, 2014
Nick Young: "When I’m out there, I don’t play like Charmin. I like Scott tissue. It’s rougher."

— Mark Medina (@MarkG_Medina) December 13, 2014
I'm worried about Nick Young's butt, guys. Not worried about his confidence, though. After playing the last-second hero, he stoked the cheeky back-and-forth with Kobe:

Nick Young to reporters, keeping trash talk with Kobe going--saying he thought about tired Kobe and last shot: "Take a break, little man."

— KEVIN DING (@KevinDing) December 13, 2014
Nick Y: "No offense to Kobe but I didn't think I was gonna get the ball that much tonight."

— Bill Oram (@billoram) December 13, 2014
And said some normal Swaggy things:

Nick Young: “I don’t miss. That’s my new name: IDM."

— Baxter Holmes (@BaxterHolmes) December 13, 2014
Meanwhile, James Worthy has lost his damn mind in the studio:

LMAO James Worthy has that "Swag" https://t.co/MSaZ0z5nIc

— DREW (@drewtoxx) December 13, 2014
Worthy: "Its a new era of interviews for me" after listening to Nick Young

— janis carr (@janiscarr) December 13, 2014
And here's Kobe:

Kobe on trash talk in practice: "It worked pretty well." Both Young and Lin had big games. Young acknowledged it worked, Lin wasn't so sure.

— Mike Trudell (@LakersReporter) December 13, 2014
Kobe: "I have confidence in (@NickSwagyPYoung's) ability to make shots."

— Mike Trudell (@LakersReporter) December 13, 2014

I don't think so either, for a few reasons. Kobe is a low-block distributor, when he has to do it from the start of the offense he can get in trouble. He's 36 and coming off of an Achilles injury, you don't want to overload him, he already has too many minutes. You need a secondary handler in the game because he's going to get attention. He gets more mistake prone the harder he works.

Yes both Lin and Kobe aren't the most steady looking facilitators you want to see but Kobe is scarier looking than Lin and I think more turnover prone. Byron is going to have to swallow his pride and put Lin in to finish games. He can go with Price, but he's not a great offensive option.

Thank you! Jeez, the amount of snarky comments from posters pushing "their favorite player" agendas is making this board harder and harder to read. Enjoy a Lakers win folks.

Lurker for a while; just joined to voice my agreement with Lakers#1Team's post and say I like reading his posts because s/he focuses on the positives of the team, regardless of the player, rather than trying to make one player look good by tearing another player down.

Someone needs to fire the Spurs statistician, because he obviously made a huge, obvious mistake.

The original plan was having Lin, Ellington/Clarkson, Young, Randle, Ed
That 2nd unit lineup was supposed to be pretty good

Welcome to the posting side of things! I appreciate your kind comments.

Usually I let all the negative comments go but I got fed up tonight because we should be celebrating. I suppose the various posts sort out who is "Lakers team" first and who has a "favorite player agenda" first.

All in all, lets just cheer for the tough win game.
I almost got heart-attack at the end of 4th quarter.
But we pulled it back in OT. What a great toughness from
our players. Give a lot of credits!

I agree. Celebrate the team win first and then analyse and critic what could have been done better and praise what was executed well.

"Lakers team" fans know that Scott has been horrible as coach. Yes, even in this victory.

Lin should have passed the ball to Johnson for open 3.

He was lucky that Young made the tough 3.
His drive couldn't create enough spacing for Young to make that shot.
