Agreed. Lets celebrate the win in this thread and P&M about the rest in the other dedicated threads.

I missed the game.
Congrats to Kobe on the record.
Looks like Lin played less than 20 minutes. So I guess he was playing too well so he got benched?

Lin played well in both end... but it is just difficult for Byron to give him more minutes, it is so against Byron's nature...

Price was very strong defensively in this game. Lin played well, even if he didn't score that much, he assisted, got steals, and facilitated well.

Byron has to go with Lin at the end of games, Kobe as PG is putting too much on Kobe and not working well. Didn't cost him, but it looked like it could have gone either way until Kobe hit a huge late-game 3.

Good win. I'm about to hop off Team Tank.

Congrats to Kobe, happy to see them pause the game for a well-deserved celebration! Kobe seemed genuinely honored and appreciative of this achievement.

Price played a nice defensive game, Boozer had a very nice game...and always rooting my fellow Canadian Andrew Wiggins who's starting to show more consistency and on his way to win ROTY!

I'm disappointed that BS played Lin for under 20 minutes tonight, but since this is KOBE'S BIG NIGHT, I'll save my ranting for another day or another thread.

Imo he won't get anymore 10 mill a year type contracts. Unless some team is just plain stupid.

Hopefully he'll bite on something around 4 mill a year. On 3-4 years.
Same contract we gave Steve Blake

Livingston is getting paid by 5 mil a year this season and more than 12 mil guaranteed in 3 yrs...

B4 Steve Blake sign that contract with the Lakers, his career average is 7.5 pts 4.3 ast 1.5 tov and shooting 41% (39% from 3s) in 25.7 min

Jeremy Lin's career average up until now is :

11.8 pts 4.8 ast 2.6 tov and shooting 44.2% (34% from 3s) in just 27.4 min

PER 36
Steve Blake @2004~2010
14.6 usg 10.6 pts 3.0 trb 6.0 ast 2.0 tov 1.0 stl 0.1 blk 2.2 pf
FG 41.1% 3P 39.3% FT 78.0%

Jeremy Lin @ Career
21.3 usg 15.5 pts 3.5 trb 6.4 ast 3.1 tov 1.7 stl 0.4 blk 3.0 pf
FG 44.2% 3P 34.3% FT 80.0%

Goran Dragic @ Career
22.3 usg 16.9 pts 2.7 trb 6.5 ast 3.1 tov 1.5 stl 0.3 blk 3.1 pf
FG 46.4% 3P 36.5% FT 75.1%

i really like Lin playing with bench, i bet the bench is happy with Lin too...
He got everybody touches, he set up boozer so well that I doubt Boozer wants to go back to the starting lineup...

Lorenzo just to make it clear, I know damn well Jeremy is much better than Steve Blake. An since we're naming ex Backup Laker point guards, he's better than Farmar as well. I just suggested I hope he settles for a Steve Blake-like contract at 4 mill a year going on 3-4 years. Because we're more than likely going to try to the throw the max at some big name players this upcoming offseason.

I think after this season what Jeremy is looking for in his next contract is obviously who's gonna pay the most but more so on longevity. He's already loaded but To me the next contract to him is getting a fair amount and finding a permanent home.

honestly, as long as Kobe is on this team, point guards are of no use...I mean that in the most sincere way possible

Boozer with 22 pts & 13 rbs has been playing well since he was moved to the bench.
However his defense is still suspect.

Me too. Personally I'm going to jump on Team Bandwagon: c'mon playoffs! Seriously, I don't know if they can sustain this run. Most of the victories have come when everything goes their way – high percentage shooting, errors on the part of the other team, etc.

Apparently the benching of Boozer has gotten his attention and lit a fire under him. He is playing with a lot more effort and intensity now.

Boozer's minutes haven't changed and he is closing games. It's a big difference for Lin who doesn't get to play with Davis and his minutes are much lower. I don't like Lin's reduced minutes and he should be closing games. I do like him playing at a faster pace.

That's too low. $7 million minimum or he's cheating himself. Anyway, contract talk now is premature.

I don't think he's coming back, given how Byron has misused him. Money is likely a secondary issue.

Wiggins is pretty good but is Shabazz the real deal? He had an excellent game but he also seems to be a solid player. He kept his team in the game, was the best player on the floor imo.

No doubt that was SM best game so far this season.
