Recently I noticed Serena Winters is reporting for lakersnation.com.
That makes me think of 2 things.
First, Serena Winters is hot.
Second, it would be really cool if LG had it's own Lakers beat reporter. Someone who would ask good questions that come up in threads while ignoring all the other BS.
Maybe Lakersnation has a reporter and we don't because lakersnation (the website) is more concerned about generating revenue than LG. But that's just based on the eye-ball test. Look at Lakersnation. They have sponsors, ads, and social media apps linked all over their webpages. In contrast, LG feels purer and comes off as a "we just care about the basketball talk" type of site. For that I am grateful.
But I'd happily pay for a membership fee if we could have a beat reporter. Especially one as smart and easy on the eyes as Winters. Just my 2¢. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better”
I'll volunteer. But I require a ridiculous salary and full access to the cheerleaders locker/dressing rooms. Also a fully stocked suite at Staples, my own private plane for road games and assistant GM privileges/duties. That is all. _________________ "Dread it, run from it... destiny arrives all the same."
Vote me for reporter and I will get answers. Jim and Chaz will regret ever leaving the horse track life after my barrage of hard hitting journalism. _________________ IM THE GREATEST HITTER IN THE WORLD!!!1!

I require a ridiculous salary, my own private jet (and I don't want to be loaned one, I want my own), and start producing a line of Lakers themed ice cream bars.
Just so you know, the league's Communications Department identified to the PBWA a number of issues they are addressing. One of them is:
"Over-credentialing: There are too many people who are 'covering' games under the auspices of media passes who do not produce a work product. Fan sites that openly root for a team should not receive credentials. In short, we believe NBA locker rooms and media seating sections should be work areas, not areas to socialize. The league will review its policies in the year ahead; at the same time, league officials don’t want to give teams too much leeway to exclude legitimate journalists who may have written something that upsets a team. A balance is being sought."
In other words, I wouldn't expect LG to be credentialed in the future, LakersNation notwithstanding.
In the past I have tried to get people from LG credentialed for the Vegas Summer League -- which is much more relaxed than the regular season or playoffs -- and was unsuccessful. So don't hold your breath on this one.
BTW, in addition to being a total pro in the media, Serena's a really sweet girl. Reached out to my daughter at a couple of events.

^ LG's very own beat reporter. Hotter than Serena Winters by a mile.
