We all know the Lakers had one of the worse 1st halfs in NBA history..... the Pacers game might throw the Lakers off or maybe it motivates them... this game is gonna be super tough to win.

It will be tough but not impossible. I like our chances.

Goal should be to reach 13 wins before the new year..... I honestly don't know what to expect from this team... they might really stink it up or they might not.... that is what happens when you have no identity.

This team kind of reminds me of the old Forrest Gump saying:
"Life is like a box of chocolates; you never know what you're gonna get."
Lin played well in those games (missed shots second game were shots at rim where Lin might have been using his body to hold off OKC defenders, and ball didn't roll in rim like it might against teams without those types of rim defenders), but he obviously had alot more help and talent surrounding him there to be effective creator and playmaker for others on that team.
He also seems like he will be very easy to stop on Friday (especially with Stevie Adams, Perkins, and Ibaka protecting the rim) because he is left to attack on his own, not out of pick and roll with Ed Davis like in training camp when I read that second unit actually beat starters from time to time.
And he doesn't have James Harden drawing so much attention on opposite side of floor from where Lin typically attacks.
Lin has also beaten the Clippers without James Harden, but that game Rockets three point shooters were hot and IIRC Greg Smith was working well with Lin in pnr and Greg Smith wasn't getting in immediate foul trouble guarding opposing big like almost every other game he played for Rockets:
Lin needs a force multiplier on court with him (Tyson Chandler in pnr with Knick, or James Harden attacking from opposite side of court from Lin in Houston) to be effective. Ed Davis might be Lin's force multiplier with Lakers, but they are rarely on court together, despite wonderful synergy they showed in pre-season.
Asking him to drive to the hoop all by himself, especially when there really is no other focal point on offense other than diminished Kobe (at this age and after injuries last few years), no wonder he doesn't look good at times. Lin isn't the 6 ft 5, 220 pound battering ram franchise "running back" Harden is. He can't break down defense like that all by himself.

I am a lin fan. But this is a little too excessive. This is a game thread, nobody is arguing with you about Lin. Plus you can't live in the past.
It's more to disprove the false narratives coming out of Houston last few years, rather than push Lin on long term Laker fans.
Even if Lakers trade Lin's expiring contract before All Star Break, or don't resign him at end of season, I view his stay with Lakers as a very positive one.
It's obvious alot of fans just accepted as fact any spin coming out of Houston last two years, when what actually happened on the court utterly disproves that.
Where ever Lin goes next, hopefully Lakers fan base and Lin fan base can separate without hard feelings, and new fan base has a more accurate take on what Lin can bring to that team.
All the Lakers games are on all cable tv providers in LA metro, and there are too many competing media outlets for Lakers to spin a particular story without some competitor calling them out (not for Lin's benefit, but just to make the competitor look bad and hopefully take market share from them).
This is not Houston, and, hopefully no tarnish is left on Lin or Lakers when they part ways.

Sadly I am not so optimistic, bs isn't likely to change anything, but still am hoping for a win by lakers.... _________________ Calling another person idiotic does not necessarily mean you are less idiotic than that person. Laker fans don't care what Lin did in Houston....it seems like you guys are arguing amongst yourselves about this. We care about what he does here in a Laker uniform.
Kobe goes for 30+, gets into a duel with Durant. Thunder win by 20+. Likely scenario.
OKC has too much firepower.....I'm afraid its gonna be ugly.
Might be a close game if were lucky but alot of bad things would have to happen to OKC in order for us to get a victory.

I hope that they don't try to pick up Westbrook and Jackson full court just because it worked against the Pacer backups. That's asking to get the ball rammed down their throats.
K0BEE 2.0 seeks to get back to .500 on Friday against Kevin Durant and the Thunder.
