I understand keeping Lin on the bench because he fits there better but are you telling me the FO seriously can't find a better PG than Ronnie Price in the D-League/Free agent?
Season: 3.6 PPG, 3.5 AST. 29% FG, 22% from 3
Last 5 games: 2.4 PPG, 2.5 AST. 19% FG and 15% from 3
As a starter: 17% FG and 9% from 3. That's right he is shooting 9 percent from downtown.
How is this guy still even on the roster? |

I guess that he is our coach's favorite player somehow. |

I read on twitter that someone called Price the DPOY - defective player of the year
I kind of feel sorry for Price. He had a non-guaranteed contract (now half-guaranteed). I don't think he, after so many years, had the aggression to become a starter. He probably just wanted to try his best, keep his job, not get cut, and get paid.
It's not his fault that the idiot coach put him in as a starter, gave him big minutes, put him in the spotlight and exposed him. |

Not sure why Byron seems to be in love with this scrub. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

I'm not sure why everyone is surprised that Ronnie Price is still a Laker, despite his obvious lack of starter qualities.
It's become apparent that the Laker FO is content to stand pat with the roster this season, rather than get marginal talent, and become only slightly better. Like Magic said, if you're gonna lose, then lose. Byron's got to work with what he's got.
The only thing the Lakers FO is looking at right now, is the upcoming off season. I'm sure they're looking at potential trades, free agents, and young talent, that could be had to improve for the 2015-2016 season. Also, I'm sure the FO is counting on keeping that pick from Phoenix.
Unless Mitch is able to facilitate some kind of blockbuster deal before the trade deadline, don't expect much player movement. Unless we get hit by more injuries.....

I don't fault Price. He works hard and is a steady 3rd string situational PG.
I fault Byron. |

The better point guard is in the bench. Start Lin and then ask the question, Can we find a better back up point guard that Ronnie price. #FreeJordanClarkson

I'm sure this was posted elsewhere, but here's the video of Price posterizing Boozer for one of the best dunks of the 2006/7 season.

Both Kobe and Scott singled out Ronnie who stand out in the training camp...
Lin was starting due to Ronnie's injury... Byron had every intent to start Ronnie after Nash went down... |
